For those who got to watch the ManU match, how did the new signings look?  Did Memphis and Schneiderlin look pretty comfortable out there?

memphis will get comfortable, the chemistry isnt there right now so his flicks and tricks were noticed but not too successful, also, he was playing as a striker, schneiderlin scored so thats pretty good, darmian again with chemistry it will need to be worked on, i really didnt pay attention to the second half to be honest

Big days for Socios & cules... 31,904 votes cast so far (29.01% voter turn out). About 8-9 more hours ago in the vote.

Here's the live stream in case anyone is interested.

Also, heres backstage at the player's photo shot...

Morgan was the player of the first half by disrupting passing lanes, making smart passes and being a key contributor consistently. He deserves to be the first choice CDM this season imo. Basti took over that role in the 2nd half and he was already being that great leader we know him to be by calling out instructions to some of the younger players throughout the 2nd half and just being that marshall in the MF. Darmian was probably the best defender out there and had a solid night, didn't realize how often he likes to come up and join the attack,he could be a pretty skillful wingback eventually.

As mentioned before,Memphis was out of position as a striker so his rythm wasn't all there but he did show some of the ball skills that have made him one of the most talented youngsters in the game. Hoping that's one of the last times we seem him up front though,he's so much more effective as a winger.

In all honesty, outside of Morgan, the player I was impressed with the most has to be Andreas Pereira. He was by and large the best player on the pitch in the 2nd half and did a great job creating chances and his skill is absolutely beautiful to watch. Really hope LVG gives him a few chances to show his stuff this season,he could be what Adnan was supposed to be :lol.

Johnstone looked good in net, better than Lindegaard, and Lingard might've been the most active player in the attack during the 1st half. We really have a wealth of promising young talent :smokin

Club Football back is so great man.
Yup it's great, cannot wait to hit Maggie McGarrys with all the Bay Area gooners. I really miss staying out all night and rolling into the bar at 6am to drink more and watch The Arsenal.

That dude trolling in the Madrid Figo shirt... :lol

I can only imagine the looks this fool got from the other socios...

psk who are your hoping to win the election?

and any good games to catch today?

In truth, trying to pick the candidates is really an exercise in calculating the lesser of evils. I don't trust Bart or Laporta. Even though Pogba's agent came out & said he'd go to Camp Nou if Joan won, I have a feeling this is as much of a promise as Joan's guarantee that he'd bring Becks to Camp Nou way back when... :rolleyes

I was intrigued by Benedito early on because of his strong ties to Monchi over at Sevilla & the possibility of him coming to Camp Nou but I don't like the shirt sponsor "Flight without wings" he allegedly has lined up for €70 to €80m per year. It would not only look stupid on the front of the shirt but I have a feeling it's a lie. However the longer he spoke his views, the more I felt he was lying though his teeth...

I think Freixa might be a dummy candidate set up by either Bart or Joan as he has history with both. I think he was installed in an attempt to draw votes from other candidates.

If one were to base the possible outcome of the vote on the Socio signatures garnered, Bart might end up winning this in a land slide...

As of a few moments ago, 40,548 votes cast so far (36.98% of turnout)... About 6 or so hours to go...

Edit - Footage from voting earlier today... Kind of cool to see the proceedings of a club operate like this...

After seriously considering it, I don't think it's worth bringing Pogba based not only on the transfer fee but the wage he's supposed to be asking for. I'm cool either way though, if he comes or doesn't.

If he does, I'm definitely getting his Barca shirt for my kid (he has a Pogba Juve & France away shirt).

It's official...

What would you rather see the funds it'll cost to get Pogba be put toward?

Idk how much it'll cost and how the wages he's asking for stack up to what MSN earns, but when you have a future top 10 type player on the market that wants to play for your club, I think there's no choice but to negotiate and then spend the big bucks.

The transfer fee itself will most likely be €100m (at least), Juve already turned down a €85m bid. It was reported that Pogba was demanding a €12m net a year salary which would make him the second highest paid player on the squad behind La Pulga.

With the addition of Turan who despite my qualms about the fee we paid because of his age nullifies the need for bringing Pogba, at least for the immediate future.

I think Turan will excel at Camp Nou as he's exactly the kind of player Enrique loves. He's a magician with the ball & attacks relentlessly defensively & offensively.

A midfield with Sergio, Rakitic, & Turan with Rafi & Iniesta coming in as subs behind the Barca trident is insane...

AZwildcats AZwildcats - a spoiled vote is most likely an eligible vote, damaged, or a vote cast for someone not official for the vote...

at the transfer fees some of these clubs get when they sell off players

Are you sure about this?
Yes. Braida was rumored to have a list of players on the first team, B squad, & the youth players that Juve could choose in addition to the transfer fee. Barca executive Albert Soler traveled to Turin later to include players that would be attractive to Juve but they didn't budge.

Pedro & Montoya were some of the first names offered along with Gerry & there were more names offered but apparently they aren't going to release those names for fearing of pissing those players (& their agents) off...
