Conte has lots do with our current results yesterday. this season all started to go down with the ay he handled Costa. He should've waited to get the right striker before letting go of Costa. He is a fan of Cahill but he has been our biggest liability on defense.

to add to my point why are the epanyol fans allowed to sing disgraceful chants about his wife but the moment he tells them to be quiet his actions are the ones that need to be reviewed
simple logic would suffice in this situation

La Liga's refereeing and the organization itself have been terribly poor. Hopefully this bunch can actually implement VAR successfully next season for things like diving, PKs, etc. (they're obviously not going to get disciplinary issues correct.)

retroactive punishments don't really solve the problem though. A player takes a calculated risk gets away with something his team benefits from it on the day and the team that got screwed over gains nothing from him being banned in the next game against a different opponent instead of being properly punished right then and there.

Only way retroactive punishments would really work if it was something really harsh like 10 game bans then players would really think twice cause thats a huge chunk of games but no league would ever do that.

So apparently everything unraveled for Lucho bcs he & Messi didn't work out. The end started during Lucho's last campaign there. Messi asked for extended time for the winter break. Apparently, Lucho said yes but that would mean he wouldn't start games when the campaign resumed which ended up happening.

He also punished players like Rakitic by not giving them playing time for what he thought was poor conditioning as Rakitic was fatigued in several games. They also didn't like the rotations he wanted to constantly institute.

I thought he got the best out of the crew the year they won the second treble. Everyone including Messi looked trim & fit. I never saw Messi as svelte as he was during Lucho's first year. He actually looked cut instead of his usual doughy self. Lucho also banned him from eating pizza before matches which is why he threw up so much.

If players are tuning out Conte at Chelsea now, Lucho is cut from the same mold. In fact Lucho is much more of a gives no dams maverick & more hot tempered & stubborn than Conte. I always thought of Lucho as the Spanish Roy Keane in terms of temperament. I still remember all the arguments he used to get into with team mates & opposition players like Zizou...
