I hate to say it but the Cristiano departure doesn't seem like hardball negotiating anymore. It's looking like a divorce that could get ugly and embarrassing.

It also seems like we might never know the entire truth of the situation. Florentino wants Cristiano to release a statement that he's the one who wants to leave in order to lower his release clause from 1b to 100m. And then to also sign a confidentiality agreement that he doesn't speak on anything else. Real should try to repair the relationship. Dude is the best player in Madrid history. And still top 2 and potentially on his way to a third straight BdO.

It's hard to argue with the results that Florentino gets. Despite F'ing players over they still flock to be his next galactico. And they keep their egos in check when playing for the club. Idk maybe he feels like being somewhat of a tyrant is the best way to accomplish this. But it seems like he overdoes it to the point of wanting to be bigger than the players himself. And this move is maybe one in his mind that would make him bigger than the most iconic and important player in the history of the club. Hoping they complete the lord’s work & put down the renk tink english... dead this it’s coming home bs in a heart breaking fashion.

I don't think he can, but that doesn't mean he's not willing to learn. With one footballer under his Roc Nation sports umbrella, he might be looking to add more.
