The plot thickens, €150M is the price now for CR7

@Armada‘s boy Fernandinho had the worst game for Brazil. He was just god awful in every facet of the game. There was no redeeming quality to anything he did out there today.
Terrible. Casemiro is such an important part of the team now. Jesus up front offered nothing either.
With that being said it took a lackluster effort from Brazil to take Belgium all the way to the last shot of the match so I’m still not convinced by the Belgian boys but congrats to them. It’s an all European affair now.

For 2022 hopefully FIFA can stop having yellow card accumulation mean so much

“Fair play” unfairly eliminating Nigeria and then yellow card accumulation taking Casemiro out and forcing us to watch Fernandinho against Belgium’s powerful attack through the middle

How is it unfair?

Maybe Casemiro should have stopped committing hard fouls when he knew he was in danger of missing a game.

Just because you didn't get to see a player or team you like, doesn't make the system unfair.

Never proposed removing the rule but could see why you thought I might have implied it

The rule is fine, defenders need to do a better job of defending & not fouling. I’ve seen some of the worst defending across the board in this WC that I’ve ever seen & I’ve been watching them since ‘86 WC.

Casemiro is a great defender but makes too many bad decisions from time to time. His WC play has been stellar but he earned everyone of those yellow cards....

thats cool.

only way for european teams to compete on a global scale is to hire foreign players. no latin american teams do this

Jesus was unproductive all tournament. Really disappointed in his performance. Coutinho had a bad game today. Seemed to have trouble controlling the ball, but he still managed an assist.

My question now is that since neither Ronaldo, Messi, or Neymar managed anything out of the ordinary this WC, who do y’all have as the front runner for the Ballon D’or? :nerd:

Rome

Belgium was good on defense. I'm hyped. Just wished Colombia took that match against England.
