La Liga been haunting Bayern since the 2015 semi final

I've had this same criticism of Bayern, but after the semis I completely retract it, and have a lot more respect for the team. People say they aren't battle-tested enough, but you would have had no idea from the 2 legs. They're mentally tough and resilient.

People (including myself) have ran with this criticism, because it can conveniently explain both BM and PSG. But I think the explanation is that each of these 2 sides has a key trait, while missing another. PSG lacks a great culture (from the locker room, to the board, and the fans,) which Bayern has plenty of. And Bayern...their record signing is just €41m.

Also people gotta realize that in these tournament runs, at certain phases you're going to need a little bit of luck. It's very difficult to win the CL, and even harder when misfortune falls upon you at critical points.

Referee Milorad Mazic, who was voted the worst referee at the 2014 World Cup, has been appointed the leading official for this season’s Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Hmmm, Iniesta may end up going to the J League with Vissel Kobe for a whopping €25m after taxes per year over 3 years... Rakuten owns that team which also includes Lukas Podolski. I’d much rather see him go there instead of playing in crap league & crap country...
