Very random but we sometimes discuss how to improve USA footy, and I think a part of the problem is that soccer is typically a fall sport, which clashes with football, the sport that’s basically at the top of the high school sports pyramid.

A lot of young kids play soccer until they hit that age that they can play middle/HS football. Think if it had to compete against baseball and lacrosse in the spring that we’d see a lot more of our top athletes gravitate toward giving soccer a shot and developing a passion for it

Been a busy weekend, but was still able to catch classico. Suarez is still a ****

^
I watched the game again before deleting it off my dvr. Amazing this team is undefeated being as though it lacks the ability to put teams away. The lone reason for the success of this team has been Messi. This campaign more than ever, he's put this team on his back & carried them. It's a shame a better team hasn't been built around him that's capable of winning multiple champions league.

As everyone could see, this team has zero speed & zero youth. Roberto was a fine stop gap for right back but he's not a permanent solution. The more he plays there, the more he looks bad. The moment Semedo came on, he provided speed, was solid defensively, & provided width on that right flank. Semedo needs to play right back PERIOD.

Honestly, Coutinho looks like a waste of money... He looked very low & unable to cope with the speed of the game & the urgency. Madrid came right at him all thoughtout the first half & he constantly coughed up the ball. He played terribly as did alba at left back. He got abused by Nacho... He's lucky not to have been booked too for trying to grab Modric's throat.

This team needs a extend Umtiti, find young fast CB to pair with him, find a new left back, & at least 3 new midfielders with one of them being a pivot. All of these need to be young & exceptionally fast.

Yeah the united kit works as a whole, probably doesn't look that good as just the shirt.

That’s what it’s looking like and I’m kinda glad tbh. Their navy parley joint is super clean and will already need to be copped and from what I’ve seen of the light pink kit, that’ll need to be copped too. I don’t need to grab all 3 for next year

Reminds me too, need to find the right sale to pick up a Lukaku home kit from this year :nthat:

I think Adidas’ first 2 kits since taking back over for United were the best so far on their run. The first one from The FA cup season is probably my favorite

Then the joint when Zlatan came in was fire too

But this season and next seasons aren’t as great imo

Speaking of kits, I really want to see what adidas does with arsenal. They hooked Ajax up with a nice white/red kit. Hey should be able to bless arsenal as well

They still have those Adizero kits sitting on CFS. I need to cop one before its gone. I currently have the black away kit for that year.

I’ve got the climacool but I would definitely want the adizero if I could get the FA cup patches

I also think for Liverpool fans this seasons Home shirt with the champions league patches is a must have also.

Not a fan of v necks but those 2 are nice
