I'd take Carlo for a year or two while the board works towards tagging Simeone for a long term deal.

I've been an Arsenal fan since the Graham era and I can remember when we didn't play the most attractive football, but were still winning titles.
1 nil to the Arsenal used to be a thing back then. But when the Graham era came to an end and the Wenger era started, people didn't know what to expect.
But he hit the ground running and changed the English game forever. Wenger revolutionzed English football from the way teams played football, all the way down to training methods and diet. He was one of the best managers in the world his first decade at the club. He won us titles on Spurs ground, United's ground, and gave us the Invincibles.

He also gave us legends in the form of Berkamp, Viera, and Henry. The last years of his tenure have been downright pathetic and to some would argue hurt his legacy. But there is no denying that he brought this club so much joy and success. Many Arsenal supporters are Arsenal supporters because of Arsene Wenger. Now that the cloud has been lifted, every Arsenal supporter should get behind the team and send this man off with dignity and class. He deserves that, and he's earned it.

Honestly, Wenger shouldn't be given any job from this point on especially the Les Bleus job. His Arsenal sides have looked down right disastrous in the last decade & have been very painful to watch. It's like watching a boxer waaay past him prime trying to fight & just get the snot knocked out of him. Wenger should definately do punditry though.
while part of me agrees, I wanna know if it was actually down to him or his board

Not a lot of clubs can say they have a manager that loves the the club as much as Wenger loves Arsenal
Arsene loved his legacy more than the club..

SAF-United
PEP- BARCA
Zidane- Madrid
Gatusso- MIlan

plenty of examples

IMO

Rodgers = Moyes
Carlo = LVG
Arteta/Viera = Giggs

Rather not make those kind of hires

This is a good time for a team just sitting on the brink to sneak into the Top 6 for the next few seasons.

A lot of people have mentioned possibility of Löw, but dude can go to a lot of other big clubs with owners that actually care unlike Kroenke.

The dotard def loves him some dotard... Takes every opportunity to remind the press too.

I love Carlo, but he's train wreck now... Also very ill fitting for Arsenal.

:rofl:@ the thought of brendan rodgers being thought of as a candidate. He's fine right where he is.

Man Ty is gonna be so smug on AFTV next season if Arsenal have a bad season. I can hear him now "see I told you all we should've never let him go we should've gave him a new contract"

can't wait for arsenal to trash it up with this next manager
arshambles won't be in europe next year either so their new manager has an advantage

lol tbf to tom I didn't bother learning how to spell his name till he signed with united.

Damn reports coming out that Wenger was forced out. So you can't even give him credit for knowing when to call it quits.

Would have expected Wenger to move upstairs to some director role or something, but the good times that he had at Arsenal will forever be remembered.
