Salah has to be one of the most likable players in footy right now

Of course that’ll change once winning epl poty earns him a target on his back. Then people will start criticizing him for not winning a major trophy. And then once he wins one people will start disliking him out of envy. But right now he’s up there as one of the most likable :lol

Speaking of Salah, you guys think he has a legit shot at the B'dor? I definitely do and he should finish top 3 minimum imo.

He might mess around and win it if Egypt makes some noise this summer

If Liverpool win champions league and he shows out at the World Cup with Egypt getting at least to the quarters he will finish in the top 3 candidates at least

I'd argue that he'll finish top 3 regardless just because of his production and how clinical/efficient he's been compared to the other top scorers around Europe

The CL and the WC will probably decide if he finishes above or below the 2 aliens

Hurts my soul seeing 'Pool with top African ballers like Salah and Mane :smh:

To think LvG was catching flack for trying to sign dude from Soton a little while back

The thing we have to remember about Balon d'Or is that it's for player of the calendar year. So Ronnie being trash and Messi being hot to end 2017 should have no bearing on votes. Other than its impact on their team's respective league positions. I'm not sure what the stats are now, but I don't think much has changed with this trend in the last 3 weeks:

If Ronnie locks up the CL threepeat then in terms of team achievements he > Salah, and if Messi has a domestic double then CR7 would be ahead by a small margin imo. Crashing out of the CL to Roma hurts him here too. And then team achievements aside for 2018, it hasn't been close so far that CR7 is the best individual of 2018 4 months in.

Of course even with these hypotheticals, there would still be performances in the World Cup. Which historically Messi has performed better than CR7 in.

In order for Salah to actually get in the conversation of winner, not just finalist, Liverpool would have to win the CL (barring a World Cup miracle.)
