La Liga was easier this year because Madrid was very subpar until about a month ago (due to fatigue from an outrageously successful 3-4 year run). Cholo didn't figure out he had to attack more until after Christmas, & stalwarts like Sevilla & Valencia were very inconsistent this year.
Post January, this team has looked horrible & I posted my musings about it (several times over the months). He needs to go. The club won't be much better than what you see now. In fact, you'll see a steady decline.
Barca needs to get young fast, the problem is outside of Messi, they have a tremendous amount of dough tied up to old players that are in rapid decline & getting injured more & more...
If the report is true, he needs to bounce regardless...
