Unpopular opinion (from a long time Bayern supporter): Bayern should sack Flick et sign Ten Hag.

Flick had incredible results, re-introduced the key tactical principles that Bayern adopted since Van Gaal: possession, high pressing, high tempo, verticality and in general hard working team-oriented play. However with world class players and a correct coach this isn't hard to implement, and Flick seems to show his limits. He's more a player management mastermind than a tactical masterming.

Ten Hag on the other side implemented this sort of play with Ajax with average players. Sure there was 4-5 very talented players but it was not a team at the Bayern 2013/Madrid 2012/Barcelona 2011/City 2016/etc... level. The guy is truly a tactical mastermind, and already worked with the Bayern II team.

If Bayern wants to confirm their domination for the next 2-5 years, get Ten Hag, sign De Jong to pair him with Kimmich and get a world class central defender. Much respect to Flick for what he achieved tho.

I dunno feels like a really hard sell sacking Flick anytime soon when the club is wrapping up one of the most successful calender years in the clubs history

Its a bit of a discredit to him thinking anyone could recreate the level of success they've had the last year when his predecessor Kovac had more or less the same team and had them lagging behind the top of the table and getting embarrassed by teams like Frankfurt. Flick might not be revolutionary in his approach but he's been able to strike an almost perfect chord with the team and they've been dominant more often than not as a result.

Definitely think ten Hag is gonna end up at a top club sooner than later but I don't think Bayern should rush to get rid of Flick to make it happen when he's yet to really struggle with them at any point after over a year in charge. They're back in 1st place before the holiday break and are still looking dominant in Europe winning the group including the 1st place LaLiga team with 16 out of 18 points. It'd be extremely harsh imo when he's achieved more in a short time than any BM manager over the last decade
