This isn't the same thing.

Why the !%@% would the Hornets trade the last good player they would have left after a CP3 trade for Udonis Haslem, who was out like all of last year, and any combination of the other trash on the Heat.....

The first line says he signed a deal when we all know he'd have to be traded to the Lakers.

Looks like we are going to see a lot of ejections this year due to Flagrant 2 calls.

Kevin Martin, Kevin Durant and Dwyane Wade will be effective the most with the rip move being taking out of their games.

I guess the new 8-second rule makes sense.

No one mentions Paul Pierce tho?
And he TRAVELS badly when he does it too which pisses me off that much more.

Free-agent buzz: Bulls lead Butler suitors

As Caron Butler completes his personal tour of NBA suitors, the Chicago Bulls remain the team to beat for him, league sources said.

Butler left his meeting with the Bulls earlier this week with a deep appreciation for coach Tom Thibodeau, sources said. Butler’s willingness to possibly take less money from a championship contender is made easier with his personal business holdings.

Butler, 31, has also met with the Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs and New Jersey Nets this week. The Clippers and Nets have room underneath the salary cap to offer Butler more than the $5 million midlevel exception.

The Bulls can offer up to the full midlevel. The Spurs also will have the full midlevel to spend once they use their amnesty clause to waive Richard Jefferson and the three years and $30.5 million he has left on his contract.

Butler has been the Spurs’ primary target, but team officials have been speaking with agents about a number of different options to fill their pending small forward vacancy. Washington Wizards forward Josh Howard also visited the Spurs this week and met with coach Gregg Popovich and general manager R.C. Buford.

The Spurs have inquired about Mike Dunleavy as a short-term replacement. Rookie Kawhi Leonard also can play the position.

Washington would like to re-sign Howard, who met with Wizards coach Flip Saunders Wednesday at the team’s practice facility. But the chance to play for a contending team could be difficult for Howard to overlook. Howard, 31, has also spoken by phone with Thibodeau and Bulls assistant Randy Brown and plans to speak with Nets coach Avery Johnson, who coached him in Dallas. The Utah Jazz also have expressed interest in Howard.

Butler and Howard have both suffered significant knee injuries in recent seasons, but are expected to be ready for the start of training camp.

Hill keeping options open

Grant Hill is comfortable re-signing with the Phoenix Suns to continue playing with close friend Steve Nash. Suns president Lon Babby also is Hill’s former agent, and Hill’s family likes the Phoenix area.

Yet a source close to Hill said the free-agent forward is continuing to explore his options. At 39 years old, Hill knows he doesn’t have long left to chase a championship, and the Los Angeles Lakers, Bulls, Miami Heat, Spurs, New York Knicks and Clippers have all expressed interest in him.

South Beach for Battier?

Memphis Grizzlies free-agent forward Shane Battier is still leaning toward signing with the Heat, a league source said. Battier wants to contend for a championship, and the Heat have long targeted him as a possible addition.

ShaneBattier Shane Battier

This was a exciting process and after much deliberation, I would like to quote the great poet Jimmy Buffett and take my chances "Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season"

Down.

In.

Miami!

Let's Go #Heat!!!!!
