☆☆ 2012 NBA Finals ☆☆ The King has been crowned; Heat win 2012 NBA Finals! Bron Finals MVP.

Hold up, so ZBo is the second best PF right now?

  Come on man.

I get your each season argument, so then in that case you feel Rose is the best PG in the game, right now then, right?

1 season is not the way to do it.  You have to sample 3-4-5 years.  Besides, for all your know that was Zach's last hurrah.  He could go completely down hill from here on, you can't eleveate him to 2, then drop him back down right after.  That makes no sense.  That's how the NT WR list always goes, every week a WR has a big game, and enters the top 3, the next week he gets 30 yards and we get crickets.

Take top 5, call that good.  If he does it all again this year, and some others keep falling, bump him to top 3, and see where it leads.  Don't put it all on one six month stretch, ya know?

I agree with what you wrote though..Dirk is definitely better than Amare, and it's close between him and Pau but I'd give Pau the nod because he has those 2 rings..But I can't give Griffin that #3 spot despite the fact that he's a beast..I need more than 1 great season for me to be like "Aight, this dude is definitely better than Amare"..Not being biased because he's on the Knicks, but Amare has been doing work for years and he carried the Knicks on his back before Melo showed up.

Yeah, that's what I meant. The *+!# that has been spewed about Melo and Amar'e the past few days has been out of this world.

And where did i say Amare was a good defender???. Someone else stated that Pau was a good defender and that's far from the truth. And as far as toughness goes yes Amare is leaps and bounds a better player in big situations. Say what you want about him but he ALWAYS wants the ball in big situations and he CONSTANTLY delivers.

Pau well he got his heart broken, and moped around the playoffs like a !%%+!.

First of all how the hell is Durant a "smidge" better than Lebron and two spots better than Melo ? Dude is not clutch , has no killer instinct , and in crutch time defers to Russel Westbrook. Dude is a great scorer , a weak defender , and a horrible rebounder for his size.

Cool i can post list too since you act like you didn't watch the series against Dallas last year . Your list was 4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points ill do you one better.

Yea, I think I'd rather have Amare in the paint than Pau Gasol. There's no way I would choose Pau over Amare
after watching Pau try to throw a move on Kevin Garnett, with Garnett palming the ball with one hand, making
Pau crumble to the ground like some wet tissue. At least you wouldn't have Amare's toughness and heart
questioned, regardless of the height Pau has on him.

Ehhh, I see what you mean.

Prior to last season, I had Pau, STAT and Dirk ahead of him. I thought Zbo and Aldridge were at the same level. Really, much hasn't changed. Just a little re-ordering, which is why I said you could probably move any of these guys from 2-7.

For the guy that said I hate the Clippers, I think Griffin will jump to #2 very soon. I'll give him the season after next though.

I said Pau's defense was light years ahead of Amare's, which it is. The problem with Amare being "leaps and bounds better in big situations" than Pau is that the rest of the game still counts. And Pau played with some dude named Kobe the last 4 seasons. Whoever that is.
I don't know why people act like Amare and Melo don't still have glaring weaknesses in their games that have yet to be fixed after 7+ seasons. Defense being the main one.

So you put Z-bo above Amare after he had a MVP type season before Melo came on board and was top 5 in scoring ? Got you
laugh.gif
Zach Randolph was a Knick I have seen dude play he is not better than Amare Stoudemire.

Did you completely black out during the 2008-2009 playoffs as well as the 2009-2010 playoffs?

I agree with bhz about Zbo being top 3 and Rudy hovering around top 5 but that Conley talk is wild. I don't believe on his best nights he coudl match up to what Rondo does consistently for the Celts. OJ has the potential.

As for PFs after the top 5 there's a drop in overall talent. Amar'e > LMA, Love, Griffin right now and honestly it's only after this past postseason you can put Zbo ahead of STAT. Amar'e when healthy playing as many games as ZBo did in the playoffs produces just as much for his team.

Anyway, anybody know where Kris Humphries is going as a FA? Leaning back to the Nets?

P.S.A
The pacers are a team in the east that if healthy is going to scare quite a few people. They are young, they have depth, and now that i think about it have NO glaring weakness

Collison/ Hill

George/ Hill/ Rush

Granger/ Rush/ stevenson

D.West/ Psycho T

Hibbert/ Psycho T/ Zoolander foster.

If i'm them i maybe throw out an offer to Minny to try and snag away Beasly and they are ready to go.

Sampling 4 or 5 years to rank is going too far back. Too many variables: age, coaching, team makeup, role changes, player development, injury. At most you go back 2 seasons, but you weigh the most recent one the heaviest.

gee.. am i the only person who forgot that george hill was traded to the pacers and andre miller to the nuggets?

the Pacers quietly have a really nice squad IMO. Crawford is kinda dumb not to sign there.

they're definitely on my radar

I have them finishing ahead of the Knicks right now

Wish Mayo went to Indy, it's cool though. Really though Crawford was going to go also but hey, may be a good thing for both

Can anyone clarify the Roy amnesty?

Was his salary already going to be off the books because of the medical retirement?

Is insurance still going to cover the remainder of the contract?

Looking at Portland, they have no other amnesty candidates except for Aldridge and Matthews in a few years. However, neither on them are over 26 years old.
