Could be that the LAPD edited the video because of hotel workers or civilians passing by, and wanting to keep them from being identified by the public.

Looks like they're souvenir t-shirts, kinda like they're trying to be the next I <3 NY shirts. They're usually seen at souvenir shops or those mall kiosks as already mentioned.

Truth. That bacon was something else. Where did you hear that? I've been there and our server was cool as hell. The old bartender telling stories of his younger days while we waited at the bar was cool as **** too.

It's definitely a nice place to live. That type of lifestyle breeds spoiled kids who have no idea what "real" problems are.

Where you should rent will be strongly dependent on where exactly your job is. You can easily find a decent place to live for way under $1800 though.
