Glad my family still lives in California. Went running in a tank top yesterday and have been enjoying the national parks and beaches throughout Northern California :pimp:
Can’t wait to go back to the cold weather, grey skies, and dead trees Chicago has 75% of the year
Yeah, I feel like there’s no escape from this as long as you have majority white fans in a sport.
I’m a 49ers fan (American football since I’m assuming you live in France) and there have been multiple instances where groups of fans have turned to racism and death threats towards black players...
Honestly I’d be rooting for France today if this wasn’t Messi’s last World Cup/last World Cup he has a major role in. Glad he finally got it.
Mbappe though :pimp: only 23 and already a World Cup winner and almost 2 time winner on top of that
Nah, it’s about mental toughness.
In practice even mediocre players can score penalties 99% of the time. Under pressure with an entire club/country’s hopes depending on you is another story
other than DD cowardice…
Got to give Argentina credit for playing with effective possession. No constant sideways and backwards passing and pressuring the hell out of France whenever they do lose the ball.
Someone tell me how that was roughing the passer. Not even being sarcastic. Are they really calling that because the tackle caused him to hit another player? Or is it just a BS call?
Yeah, I went to watch a Copa America game there a while back, and I remember appreciating being able to walk in/out of the area and finding restaurants and bars nearby.
Meanwhile people flying into the Bay Area will have to take BART from the airport, transfer to Caltrain, then transfer to VTA...
Having been some of these stadiums…the traveling experience for foreign fans is going to be trash. If they’re expecting to be dropped off near the stadium/exiting via efficient public transportation (if at all) like they’re used to in their home countries, they’re in for a huge disappointment.
Yeah we were getting Osh'd as usual. Dude really tried to tell me what people in my own ancestral countries think and feel, and then when I proved him wrong, he just dismissed the entire World Cup as pointless.
@osh kosh bosh has been continuing to throw passive aggressive shots and sarcasm for a week now to disprove the general sentiment throughout football fans. He thinks that rooting for a team to win means that everyone has to be out in the streets celebrating and dancing for them (which some...
Yeah, the thing is that Jordaans are an “unstructured” loafer. What makes them comfortable and uniquely sleek also makes them prone to more creasing, but like @tomdiginson said, make sure to use shoe trees after each wear (honestly, you should do this with all of your leather shoes) . I have...
I mean I get it, but I want to also talk about the culture, history, nightlife, events, destinations, etc. Instead, a lot of the time people try to force me into talking about Ronaldo as if that’s he’s the only good thing to come from Portugal.
It’s like if I meet Japanese people and all I...
Then you don’t know about Argentina and Portugal fans. Ronaldo was called an embarrassment for his national team performances for a long time, and I’ve heard Argentina fans say similar things about Messi until recently as well. Vast majority of fans didn’t want Ronaldo starting this World Cup...
How many times have people immediately forced you into a conversation about Ronaldo when they find out you’re Portuguese?
I’ve lost count, and it’s honestly extremely annoying and kind of insulting if you think about it :lol
