I think I may buy a pair of these to ball in once they go on sale or hit outlets. From what I've read and heard from guys on the court, they're a pretty awesome performance shoe.

The Cements had the same smell.  I think it's the leather combined with the glue.  Considering no other release this year has had it, nor the same leather, I'd assume that's it.

You guys are forgetting about international cats.  For collectors in Japan and China, these are just going to be worth more from a cost standpoint considering they had absolutely no access to them.  You've got guys in the states paying a G for those Tokyo 5's here, it's more or less the same...
