I am a traction aficionado - Its one of the top selling points for me, as well as weight and support. First time i've worn a low top in awhile so we'll see how they go.

just curious since i havent work my kb6 yet.. how are the soles holding up after using them in games, since i noticed my 5's usually get worn at the heel after a couple of runs in a wooden court. tiaOriginally Posted by cbfpunch
just a little review based on playing in my del sol's twice for a total of about 6 hours. i usually play the 1 or 2 guard, and i run, jump, cut and slash a lot; pretty much play very actively on both ends.
first off, the shoes come off as a little stiff but not nearly as stiff as when i first put on the 5's. there's noticeably less cushioning around the collar compared to the 5's but i wasn't missing it much. the fit is fine; i got these in an 8.5 just like the 5's, 4's, hyperfuse, hyperdunk 2010, and the first hyperdunk. compared to the 5's and 4's, the 6's are a teensy bit longer in length but it was fine.
the upper of the 6's is very flexible and feels pretty natural when i move around with the shoe on. the PU scales definitely kept my feet protected during my games getting stepped on or bumping into other player's shoes. my feet didn't feel overly hot in them after my games and at the end of the day. all i wanted during my time playing was the shoe to mold to my foot lol. i didn't check the sockliner yet but i'm sure my feet made some sort of an impression on them.
my heel felt secure in them, even more secure laterally than in the 5's thanks to the heel counter wrapping much further towards the midfoot and the sockliner being raised in the back. the cushioning was less apparent in the 6's than in the 5's and 4's maybe because of the thicker sockliner but my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day. i'm not sure how thick the zoom air bags are in the 6's and how large they are in terms of how much space they take up in the midsole. maybe it's just me but there's a lot less coverage and info about the 6's than what we got for the 5's last year. actually, much of the things said about the 6's (besides the new stuff like the snakeskin and the sockliner) are the same things they said for the 5's.
traction was pretty awesome for me. i played on not-so-clean floors and the traction definitely didn't disappoint me. i feel the traction on the 6's is definitely a step up from the 5's. the base of the 6's feels more stable and wider than the 5's, and it keeps my feet low to the ground which i absolutely prefer. i'm loving the thickness of the outsole compared to the 5's and how large the outrigger is placed as well as its positioning compared to the 5's.
that's all i have for now until i play in them more. so far, i like the 6's a lot and i really have to play in them more before i make a decision on whether or not i feel they're better than the 5's. the 6's definitely make a lot of improvements so i wouldn't be surprised if these bump the 5's to my #2 shoe, but the 5's would still be a very very close #2.

no one should listen to you because you didn't even talk about performance.

the kobes aren't going to be for everyone but the way you feel about the kobes and lebrons is the opposite of how i feel with them lol.
