I went with the new 2K5 QS instead of the MPLS. But knowing me, I'll probably find a way to get the MPLS on release day or soon after.

any shoe with yellow or purple will probably not appeal to the majority of the consumers. nike is just playing it safe. if there were to be a laker colorway, it have to be pretty limited or it probably wont sell well.

Well NIke is stupid. I bet a Lakers color like that would sell a lot better than some plain black/red, or white/grey, or all black. Why would anybody want to buy some plain black/red color that he didn't even wear in the games.

They would produce a black and red colorway or an all black colorway because they are more commonly word or use. Hence the release of the white/black/red first.
