Zoom Kobe 8 system NikeID thread ***NO SET DATE (yet) WHEN THESE WILL BE TAKEN DOWN***

Looks like NikeiD is gonna be launching the "NikeiD Player Edition Program".  In a nutshell it's a program where Nike athletes will build NikeiD colorways that have an influence on something in their lives and also will have a family member influence.  Kobe is listed as one of the players that will participate this year.

Players Participating: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Paul George, James Harden, Jarrett Jack, LeBron James, Ty Lawson, Chris Paul, JR Smith, Deron Williams and Nick Young. 

I'm guessing JR Smith and Nick Young will be the ones ID'ing the Kobe's other than the man himself

Since its birth, basketball has dramatically evolved: rules, superstar personalities, team dynasties and international expansion. In just thirteen years since its debut, NIKEiD has transformed the performance and style of the sport, allowing teams and athletes a world of shoe customization options previously unavailable.

2013 marks a special year for NIKEiD’s evolution in basketball with the new NIKEiD Player Exclusive Program. Nike has selected a roster of professional players that will debut NIKEiD shoes that highlight special moments during their season, with each shoe telling a story.  

The NIKEiD Player Edition roster includes: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Paul George, James Harden, Jarrett Jack, LeBron James, Ty Lawson, Chris Paul, JR Smith, Deron Williams and Nick Young. 

These athletes work with the NIKEiD team to identify key moments throughout the season that are the most meaningful, then work with the design team to create a shoe to capture that specific moment.  

Each design is developed with NIKEiD Design Director Al Baik, who regularly receives insight from each athlete. Baik uses the NIKEiD builder to create a shoe that represents the player’s game, team and moment. In some cases, he even receives insight from the athlete’s family members or fans. Inspiration for upcoming designs includes team legacies, birthdays, homecomings and rivalry games.

Each and every NIKEiD Player Edition shoe design has a unique story hidden beneath the surface. Nike.com has created an online destination to reveal these distinct stories with the launch of theNIKEiD Player Edition  online hub.  

This NIKEiD Player Edition online resource will be updated at tip-off of every game that NIKEiD Player Editions are debuting – so fans can learn about the inspiration behind the shoe as soon as they see it on court.

The Player Edition Program is inspiration for every athlete around the world to design their own shoe, representing their own personal story and shining moment.

Got my almost complete email this morning. After reading in another thread, Nike saying not to order any iDs at this time due to a lot of returns with bad quality...im worried. I would be so bummed if the quality is really bad. =/ we'll see.

You guys are going off a guy's statement that joined in August with 3 posts and has no actual proof of a Nike rep ever saying that?

One horrible pair does not dictate all of NIKEID, not to mention it's an entirely different shoe, nor would a Nike rep EVER say to "not iD anything at this time and they were getting tons sent back" ....
 
I'm going off this thread as well. from what I've seen with the white showing bad on some uppers and not on others. I was referring to the lebron thread with what I said. I was just reading that and iy made me worry more. I haven't ordered a iD in about 8 months. Seems there has been issues lately.
 
If Nike is having issues and having reps say not to order, they would just take that model down until issues are fixed. Nike, as a business would not tell you not to order an item due to quality issues. Makes no sense.

Nike has a 1 year return policy for unworn shoes, and 30 day worn shoes. Place your order, if you're unhappy, return em.

Wouldn't it suck if you waited due to here say, and the options you wanted to use were taken down while you're waiting....

If you search my posts you'll see that I even had a horrific experience with IDd 8s. It still isn't enough to worry. I guarantee that 99% come out great. But I do understand your worry, I think its warranted. But don't believe that dude talking about a Nike rep telling him this and that.

Im not so much worried about the inner tongue area white linning. As almost all nike iDs are like that. Just the white showing on some of the red uppers is not what I want to see. Shouldn't even be sent out if it's like that. The EM part is all I'm worried about. I've done 4 iDs and never had a problem(knock on wood) I'm just sayin.
 
Those Seahawks are clean as hell....

Still waiting on shipping conf for my pair :\
 
Personally not a seahawks fan but those came out nice. How's the upper? Seems there us white showing under the blue but it goes with the colorway
