I got it. all I've seen is it makes your profile look more like Facebook, and it has an IM tab on the bottom of every page like facebook to IM friends.

It's just an update.
Have you've gone to the home page and seen how much it's changed....
That's all it is.
They're using you and others as guinea pigs before they switch everyone's profiles over to the new layout/style/whatever you want to call it.

ive used meebo before.. its cool at first but I could never find a way to get rid of the bar at the bottom. I already have a weather bar, then a NO scripts bar, and now this?

Edit: It's nothing drastic. You can remove the bar at the bottom through your account settings.
