Y-3 Qasa

i could never understand everyone saying go full size down on them.. I am 8 in most and 8.5 in decent amount of shoes but even 7.5 was so tight that my toe was poking out the shoes crazy. It wasnt unconfmy because of materials but it definitely wasnt the right size and 7 was literally impossible wear. I think it is just me though.

Y3 have begun to fix their sizing on alot of their recent models. Their stuff from 2014 ran a full size big. Even the recent ZG pure boost ran a full size big.

welp i took the plunge and got the 11.5 because sizes were selling out and i couldnt walk away from the price which was $136 shipped [sales tax removed when shipped] with express shipping if bought via the app. ive heard so many different things about retro boost sizing contrary to my own experience with the black/blue ones that released this spring summer. the ones are size 11 and they are a snug TTS. No way i could size down to a 10.5 and feel good about it. I just hope these black/white ones fit the same. cause if they do then the 11.5 will be fine to wear albeit a bit looser. In my limited experience with Y-3 only the qasa highs actually run huge for me.

Seriously no one needs these in an 11? Y'all were going crazy for these last year for retail and then again with the sales and now can't even give them away for under sale price.

Okay, so the retro boost 150% run true to size, with this specific model. I'm a true size 11 in ultra boosts and in my first pair of retro boosts. I got these in a 11.5 because that's what was available to me and length wise they actually feel almost identitc to my pair that's a size down. What's really noticeably different is the size of the forefoot and toe box from the left to the right side. So for wide footers I'd go up half a size from your true and you'll be golden. One thing I also noticed is that this 11.5 gives a early identical fit to my Qasa high's in a 10.5 with the Qasa having a tiny bit more space in the toe. Long story short go TTS with retro boost from atleast fall/winter 15 and on. You can go a half size up if you have to but the fit changes pretty drastically and you lose that tightish grip on the forefoot which may or may not be a bad thing.

you guys reckon $250 shipped is a good price for DS black/white qasa highs?

kinda torn between dropping that amount on qasa highs or a pair of common projects..

the most recent version. heard the neoprene's not as good on that one.

I can't speak to how good or bad neoprene is in general, I don't know what makes one better than the other but from the research I've done the most recent pair just fits a little bit looser than the previous versions. I got the latest version in hand last week And the neoprene looks and feels fine.

What's the best way to clean the neoprene qasa hi? i've got a few stains on there that i've been meaning to clean off but haven't had a chance to do it

older versions had thicker neoprene.

thanks for clarifying that man

i'm kind of torn between the black/white Qasa High and a pair of off-white common projects achilles lows. They both cost about the same (about $260) but I only have the budget for one. I don't have any Qasa Highs or Achilles either. From Y3 I have retro boosts, Boost QRs, Qasa sandals and Kyujo lows.

Thoughts and opinions?

Although the common projects are a solid easy shoe to wear, the Qasas are just so much more too look at in my opinion

2nd that. I absolutely love my qasa highs. Not the most comfy but they are amazing on feet. I really like the fact that very few people wear them. Separate yourself from the Ultra Boost and Jordan perps lol.

Ha do CPs really fall under the UB/Jordan crowd?

I think I see about the same number of people wearing CPs and Qasa Highs here in Singapore.

It's mostly NMDs and flipflops here.
