Just got an ipad 2 for christmas, best gift ever. So ill go with an ipad 2

totally depends on what you're wanting to do.

i have an android phone and an ipad 2. there are things i appreciate about both, although apple's closed system is at times crazy annoying (imo).

simply put.

ipad 2 - standardized, more universal
android tablet - highly customizable, google integrated

apps are becoming a push these days. just depends on your use. go to your local store and play with'em and see what you like.
