Astros seem like a colossal waste of money for someone whos a causal gamer (casual meaning not a professional or aspiring professional). If all I'm going to do is sit in my room and be an online warrior I cant justify buying a headset that costs 40-80% what I paid for the console.

Same can be said for that new controller

I don't use my Astro's stricly for gaming.

I have it hooked up to my PC so I use it when it's night and eveyone's asleep.

9/16/2015: tomb raider definitive edition free on xb1

Too many games.

I can see your point on the controller (even tho I have already preordered it, and I'm by no means a professional). Seeing as how all of its extra functions are geared toward having that advantage over others.
But the Astros, well if you want quality sound with your games at a time when the whole house may be asleep. Sure there may be different headsets out there, but the Astros, imo sound better (yes I've tried a few). So I can't agree with the Astro comment. I bought a nice sound system for my tv downstairs too, don't think that was a waste of money either.

COD 4 made a good headset priority for me. Search it was critical especially with the Dead Silence perk. Also helps you ignore your gf while gaming
