Welp. My brother probably won't play Borderlands with me (guy has devoted his life to FF 14) and there's more excitement in this thread than the PS thread, so I'm leaning towards getting this BL collection on X1. Are you guys copping day one?

FF Type-0 HD, Bloodborne, Borderlands and BF: Hardline all on 3/17 and 3/24

 BL and BF might have to wait until April

I'll try to cop day one or week 1. BL2 was the game I've been "longing" to play ever since I quenched my thirst with next gen waters.

BL2 is the forza horizon of team based shooters.

The BL collection would be like 75 hours of gameplay, if you just focused on doing the missions and new side quests.

You get dropped on a planet and you just complete quests and find cool guns.

The humor in this series is excellent. The writers are brillant and the voice actors bring the lulz.

Some jokes are meh, but they're forgivable.

tldr

BL collection is worth your money

I'm tyically against remasters, but this is a remaster done right.

2 games for one. Upgraded graphics, cross-save, and you all the dlc.

I'm driving to gearsbox's hq just to give them a dap.

It's not neccesasry and I didn't like BL1's controls.

BL2 refined the hell out the gameplay.

Honestly, I'd recommend not even playing BL1.

BLC would give you the best impression of what the series is, while BL1 could make you be like "wut?"

BL1 is not necessary.

i'd watch like a synopsis video with all the spoilers.

you might find the controls of BL1 to be a bit dated and clunky feeling.

BL2 feels a LOT more modern and its much more polished.

I honestly can't remember a game I had more fun with. BL2 did everything right.

I was so sad when Destiny wasn't like BL, it would have been 10x better.

FYI for those not familar with the series Borderlands has MUCH MORE CONTENT compared to Destiny, no raids but its still fun AF.

Actually can we stop talking about it, I don't want us to get hype and MCC happens again. Let's pick this up again in March

Specifically for gaming, I personally prefer frames to resolution.

For what ever reason, 1080p seems to be "hard" for current gen developers to even pull off... no need to upscale an upscaled 1080p to 4k for me.

60hz monitor will do 30 frames.

120hz+ will easily hit that buttery 60 frames.

refresh rate (hz) =/= frames per second (FPS)

a 60hz monitor will typically max out at 30fps

theres a hand full of games that play at native 60fps.

its pricey... but you're better off going big once rather than going small twice before finally realizing you wanted all along.

I would recommend playing bl1 loved the game. Plus you will understand the story more. Like people said in this post the controls are wack but the story and characters make up for it.

only problem I had with BL1 is that by the end (when you've gotten a lot of good guns and are leveled), you're just a straight up killing machine and the game becomes a bit mind-less. Super fun at the beginning tho.
