Our vision at Xbox is to bring your games and entertainment together. Important to that vision is our focus on partnering with television providers and content distributors to deliver rich, differentiated TV and video experiences. Today, we’re pleased to share the news of a relationship with the newly announced Sling TV, which is backed by DISH. Sling TV is an over-the-top, television service that will deliver live sports, lifestyle, family, news and information channels, Video-On-Demand (VOD) entertainment, and the best of Internet video for $20 per month. With Sling TV, there’s no commitment, contract, credit check, hardware installation, or hidden fees. Channels will include ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel. And Xbox One will be the exclusive gaming console when it launches in the coming weeks.

What’s more, as the first gaming console where Sling TV will be available, we’re excited to announce that all Xbox Live members will get an exclusive extended free trial for one month at launch.*

”Xbox is onboard as the first gaming console where Sling TV will be available,” said Bassil El-Khatib, vice president of Sling TV. “We created the live Internet TV service for millennial consumers underserved by the pay-TV industry. One of the keys to reaching this audience is being on the devices they use, and we know millions of consumers are turning on their Xbox every day to access content they love.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with Sling TV as they bring this exciting new service to life, and we look forward to launching the Sling TV app on Xbox One in early 2015 as the first gaming console where the service is available,” said Mike Nichols, Corporate Vice President, Marketing for Xbox. “We’re committed to bringing great entertainment options to gamers and our relationship with Sling TV is an important milestone in that journey and in offering more choices to our Xbox fans.”

*Sling TV is offered at $20 per month; Xbox Live members must sign up for extended free trial

^ beat me to it

If I was actually paying for cable, this would make me cut it. Between this, Hulu, Netflix and crunchyroll. I would be paying $35 a month for all the TV that I would need

Already split with a family member hulu + netflix

Between already having more shows I could ever watch

and having a backlog on xb1 games

I'm good

if sling has like no commercials like netflix (highly doubt) are like hardly any like hulu (could be the case)... it miiiight grab my attention though. 8o 8o 8o

If it has the normal amount of commercials like regular TV... NO THANKS

will wait for reviews, nonetheless

If you can find astro a40's for a good price go with those (mixamp + headset is $250 MSRP + Xbox one Chat adapter).

I have around 4 hours sessions and i've gone through about 5 headsets and they're by far the most comfortable I've ever worn.

They also make a new version specifically for the xbox one (the mixamp is the chat adapter) for only $200

I agree with blaster... Go big now so you dont have to go small 2-3 times before going big.

You'll save money in the long run

EDIT: For comfort reference - I'm 6ft tall and have a pretty large head - My hat size is 7 3/4 - 8 depending on the fit.
The only downside to this astro a40 (The xbox one exclusive) is that its not surround sound so its not that great when it comes to

hearing where the noise is coming from hence why they're $50 cheaper.

From what I heard, the $250 astros are surround sounds which makes a huge difference. Esp with games like CoD if you wanna hear your enemies footstep directions and boosts.

You get a free month w/ XBL, you can review it for yourself

The only drawback I see w/ it is the one stream limit, but for me I'll be all over it once football season starts back up

I have the a40 with the mix amp and used a wide range of Turtle beach, triton, $ony and M$ headsets

Surround sound adds to the experience but it doesnt make a "huge difference" in your ability to play the game... IMO it adds more to immersive games like far cry then it does CoD.

I Play CoD (already over 100hrs on AW) on my a40 w/ mixamp (surround sound) vs. my Turtle beach XO sevens provides no gameplay difference.

The A40's w/ the mixamp do have a superior sound due to surround sound, but you're not only paying $50 more... you also have to pay for the XB1 Chat adapter... Also the setup is wire city

if surround sound means u have to deal with ~6 wires + adapters then i highly recommend the xb1 one that is all inclusive

Man that SlingTV sounds

I just it lets you watch CBS and FOX too. ESPN only gets Monday Night Football and now they get playoff games on Saturday. I only need cable for sports. It'd also be nice if you could record (DVR) using the X1

You copping Dying Light? I need to see reviews first.

I can't wait to see more of Quantum Break.

The Division will be copped, most likely on the X1 since my brother plays literally nothing else  but Final Fantasy XIV on PS4

I just realized I plan on copping everything on this list except Dying Light. 2015 looking
