Wrestling Thread October 1st-31st/ No Mercy Tonight At 8PM ET/ Dolph Zigger Last Match

  - Why do contract signing happen for some matches but then watches can be made at the spur of the moment on Raw.

Do you think wrestlers should know who they are going to wrestle before they get to the arena each night (barring a tournament)

Surely the wrestlers don't sign contracts that have any legal binding before facing each other in WWE?

They won't though. Usos are going to win and go heel to set up AA chasing them. I'd have them chase until the Rumble.

Finn could get shot to the moon because he had a whole bunch of credible contenders available.

^ And you didn't share that info with ANYONE here. Selfish man.

I bought the $20 tickets

Punk was a great champion and his reasons for leaving were completely valid
Punk was an outstanding champion and his beef with the E is legitimate. I've always generally been on his side in this, the rumors of talent mistreatment in that federation are rampant and disgusting.

I'll add that I enjoy the Usos...tag-team wrestling is about sharing almost a mental link with your partner, anticipating his moves and strategy so you can bolster his capabilities with your own, and something about two brothers fighting through the ranks and reaching glory in the big time together just does it for me. I can't stand thrown together tag teams, and they're pretty much the exact opposite.

Bret Hart was the Floyd Mayweather of his time...technically beyond compare, a master of his style, a long list of championship credentials, utterly boring to watch in the ring most of the time--at least, for pure entertainment.

Miz is actually a pretty good...oh wait, it's not last week.

Contract signings for PPV matches are done in public for promotional reasons, the same concept behind other fight codes televising weigh-ins for high profile bouts while most of the time fighters just get weighed in the locker room somewhere.

From a promoter's perspective, a public contract signing is a chance to get the combatants in the same ring and play off their natural aggression toward each other to build anticipation for the fight.

For regular televised matches, I assume each wrestler signs a general contract to compete on Raw/SD--it may even be included in their standard contract--which can then be activated by a GM for matchmaking purposes. Of course, I'm a long way from a contract so I'm making an educated guess here.

Also, while it would be good to know who you're going to stepping into the ring with in advance, the more chaotic nature of the big leagues' entertainment-focused style means pure competition comes second to buzz, and there's no better way to get the fans talking than to treat them to an unexpected matchup.

You're on Twitter all day. How did you not see it?

Are you actually going to the Bel Air show? Isn't Richmond closer for you?

What wrestling opinion do you guys have that would be deemed unpopular by most?

DBry is overrated (Never was a fan)

That Balor Boy is terrible on the mic.

Rollins needs more credit for mic skills

Invasion storyline was good

Carmella :hat (I'm probably blinded by her looks :lol)

Titty Bellas title run was decent ( I thought so anyways)

AJ Lee does nothing for me

Macho Man > Hogan

all I can think of right now.

Punk was good and he had valid points for leaving, especially the health issues, but all the *****ing and moaning got tired real quick. You moved on so let it go. :rolleyes Then the same marks who he doesn't give a **** about chanting his name during other performers matches was straight disrespectful to the people in the ring.

It's yer boy Green Rhino here for some noontime NTWT! 8)

...Triple H ripped off Shane Douglas hardcore. Brah - ya had to wear the hat too? :{

He would've fared better if he said all that and then didn't completely let himself go during that last run. He looked flabby, sick, and very unmotivated. What made it even worse was that he was a face at the time and didn't look right at all.

Just had a 15 minute wrestling convo with a dude at the gym. He noticed I was wearing my rebuild rollins tee. Lol.

rosa's baby has an instagram account....with almost 70k followers :x

Rosa probably pays for followers, I don't see how she would have so many having never been in the spotlight. Peep Game Peep Game has a better understanding of her career than me though.

She used to be an escort, as DC has been constantly tweeting her about her rates for like 4 years now, even during the pregnancy

Just spent the past hour watching ECW videos on youtube..Damn you beyond..

Pillman could've been a top 10 all time wrestler if he wouldn't have got hurt..

Shane Douglas is one of the best promo men of all time..

And Triple Threat>>>>>>>DX..

Francine has the best tittays in the history of wrestling..
