Wrestling Thread March 1st-31st/ NTWT Mania Survey In OP/ WrestleMania This Sunday/ WWE Hall Of Fam

I really like the idea of doing these different tournaments but they have no clue what to do with these guys after they're over..

Why go through the trouble of finding guys, making a tourney, and getting the fans invested when everyone knows all we'll get is Cena, Orton, HHH, and Roman shoved down our throats every week?..
Exactly. They're just stacking and stacking the roster just so other companies won't have them. They don't believe in moderation nor quality over quantity.
when I hear a rumor of them looking to sign talent from lucha underground tho

The BALLS on Bischoff/WCW to have Sting ascend to the rafters carrying DDP just to close out a Nitro not even a PPV :lol

Inspired by Seb Painchaud's comment - who had the greatest roster of talent?
As a starting point, here's some of New Japan's roster from 1992:
Muto
Chono
Hashimoto
Fujinami
Choshu
Hase
Samurai
Liger
Benoit
Bigelow
Vader
Scorpio
Malenko
Guerrero
Casas
Saito
Sasaki
The Steiners
Koshinaka
Kobayashi
And that's not including the younger talent such as Nagata, Kojima, Tenzan, and Otani. Or the workers who only made one or two appearances such as Tenryu, Ultimo Dragon, Rude, Austin, etc.

Lmao they went all out for that shirt...not

They need to scrap every aspect of the creative team from the writers to the shirt designers, other than Ryan Ward and Roaddogg

Same here smh. Except Texano. He's like a younger version of ADR. Taylor made for circa-2010 WWE developmental

Wattup peoples. Been on the shelf with pneumonia for about a week. Rested up to take my wife out for her bday today, going to Sugar Factory in the Meatpacking District. Wanted to take her to see 50 Shades after but she wanted to see Rogue One. Decided we would just chill after lunch since it would be a long day without the kids so we'll just hang out in the city and maybe order some wings for Elimination Chamber.

RIP Chavo Sr.

I really hope KO doesn't lose to Oldberg, but have a feeling that Jericho interferes to set up their WM match.

Need the Midnight Express to be inducted in he HOF, awesome feud between them and the RnR express.

Caught some jewels on the Network, Steamboat being Gilbert'a partner vs Flair and Windham, as well as Paul E calling Cornette during their Sat show and having the Original ME vs Eaton/Lane. Should've stretched that feud longer.

Road Dogg can go too. I haven't forgotten when he tried to bury Scott Dawson for being a heel and tweeting that they weren't debuting in a stupid gimmick match.

This write up claims Hulk Hogan was originally scheduled to be on the Starrcade '83 card!...

...it mentions some other interesting things as well regarding Harley Race & Vince, etc...
...similar to the Iron Sheik & Verne Gagne story...

Hulk Hogan's return match in the WWF, as I've posted before, was versus Bill Dixon on 12/27/83.
Starrcade '83 was on Thanksgiving night, 11/24/83.

To any wrestling fan, I recommend the "Flair for the Gold" anthology found on this Best Of Ric Flair DVD...

I believe it has most if not all of Starrcade '83 along with a ton of the promos leading up to Starrcade '83.
Some of the best '80's NWA stuff out there imo.
Flair was a huge face in that program & the storyline, everything included, is classic. Thank me later!
