Wrestling Thread June 5th-30th/TGIF Edition/G1 Special In US Saturday 8PM ET Okada vs Cody

Who ever supports that segment is the reason wrestling is in the state it is today.

Case you know he's married to a WHITE woman right?!? :lol

If he was white and married to a black woman and made the same statement about the UCLA team after they lost, butreplaced white players with black players y'all wouldn't have no problem calling him a racist..And if someone tried to defend him by using the "but he's married to a black woman" defense y'all would roast that dude for trying to defend an obvious racist..

Feel bad for the Miz. Dude spent forever trying to shake off the jokes gimmick and Lavar just set him back 10 years :lol Midas Whale bring back Johnny Nitro to partner up with him again next week.

Serious question, when was the last time a white guy won a sprint? Or even a marathon? Also son is half white so he was included in that statement...We been getting ******* on for the longest by people with a lack of melanin, get rules enacted to keep us in struggling situations like Crack getting waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more jail time than coke. Police brutality/shootings to unarmed individuals, I can keep going. But a guy makes a few obviously trolling sound bites and he is evil. View media item 2477214

Lavar is def annoying but I don't mind him. I def think he puts on a bit more in front of a camera.
All of this.

The segment was an entertaining train wreck but I didn't view it as "everything that is wrong with wrestling today" like some of you.

*shrug*

LaVar and the family just having a good time I can't hate on that. Yeah dude is goofy and at times can be annoying but he isn't out here hurting anyone or you don't see his kids stirring up ****

If y'all are mad that he was on raw blame that on Vince and co and not him they're the ones who want the media attention so they invited him to be on the show.

I see just as many black sports commentators ripping him as I do whites..So I'd say that statement isn't necessarily correct..
It's mainly the raCoon known as whitlock. Screamin A ain't bold after being let go. Once again who contours/shapes the media narrative? You think most people will be truly candid when they have a family to support? It damn sure ain't people that share my complexion...There are many black sports reporters/analysts that say he is playing the media as well as the real white ones that say the same.

Agreed. WWE is an ENTERTAINMENT show that's what they do know they don't hide that fact from anyone. Some people like it more so than others and for those who don't that's ok too. Also plenty of other options out there to get your wrestling fix if you want to watch wrestling with no entertainment.

Yep, that segment was everything wrong with wrestling today. Not more than a decade of terrible writing, lack of characters, glass ceilings, Vince still having the final say on things, and guys who naturally don't have charisma, but that segment.

:lol

In short, Case is right. Being married to a person of another race doesn't disqualify you from being racist. Halle Berry was married to a white dude that ended up calling her all types of n-word female dogs. Ball being married to a white woman just means he loves THAT white woman.

But, Ball isn't in a systematic position of power to be considered a RACIST. He made a racially insensitive statement about the white players though, but he is in no SYSTEMATIC position to prevent white players from playing basketball:); which would make him racist

@GotHolesInMySocks you got what you wanted b

I mean, I dig it but...can we not, tho?

EDIT: Pro Wrestling: Seriously, why don't more wrestlers wear something like this under their gear?

A lot of folks could get away with that and it would up your defensive stats.

- Both Alberto El Patron and Paige took to Twitter to shoot down rumors they’ve broken up.

- Jeff Jarrett is teasing a big name from Orlando for Slammiversary, and it’s expected to be Shaquille O’Neal.

Big Goof turned down Mania but decided to do TNEh? :lol

- Plans call for Great Balls of Fire to be an annual show for WWE, says Jerry Lawler, so get used to the name/come up with new jokes.

Still don't get how this came about.

- Io Shirai’s WWE debut will be delayed for “quite a while” according to Wrestling Observer due to neck injury she suffered in May and tried to treat with rest that was identified by WWE medical during her initial physical exam.
