Ember Moon suffered a grade one shoulder sprain as a result of Asuka’s ambush during last week’s No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal and will not be able to compete at NXT TakeOver: Chicago on May 20, WWE.com has learned. Doctors estimate that Moon will require four to five weeks to recover from the injury.

Legit injury or storyline since the ambush is mentioned?

I think it's legit. I didn't realize it til after I posted that gif of Asuka launching her out the ring that she actually got injured. It looked like she was supposed to just take a shoulder bump on the post, but was going too fast, missed the entire post, and and went flying into the crowd barricade

I don't like how WWE is phoning it in now from a writing/booking standpoint.

The Network has ruined their motivation to constantly provide compelling television.

Back in the PPV era they had ~4 weeks to convince you to spend $50 on a ppv.

Now they have 3-4 weeks to convince you to either sign up for free/for $10 and likely forget to cancel or not bother to cancel.

The urgency and necessity has been eliminated unless it is Wrestlemania or Summerslam time to draw the casuals back around for that temporary bump.

I remember going in with friends and we each paid $15 to watch at one centralized house together. Now...it's $10 for unlimited viewing of all content within a 30 day period.

While the Network clearly has fan-friendly benefits, I truly believe the on-screen product from a storyline/booking perspective has suffered because of it. They have the most talented roster at any point in the company's existence right now, and I would still rather watch a monthly ppv from 1999 because the storylines/booking gave me a reason to care about each person on my screen in some form be it good or bad. I at least cared.

/end rant

FAX.

As much as I love the network, it has also ruined some of the product. For instance look up at those In Your House advertisements above. They knew the matches WEEKS in advance and could not only advertise it, but build around it. Nowadays they announce 80% of the PPV card a week beforehand with NO build. WrestleMania is really the only PPV where they actually advertise the matches.

So it's not a… "Torn Rotator Cuff" en route to a local medical facility!?
