Ain't that hard to wrap your head around for those confused.
Not gonna speak on soccer fans--it's still real to them, dammit--but I can make my point by saying that everybody knows the Lakers and the Celtics don't actually hate each other...Yankees and Red Sox probably take vacations together and attend each others weddings and all that.
Still, part of the attraction of sport is cultivating an unspoken air of hostility...maintaining the mystique that these athletes are going to pull out that little bit extra (no NTWT) to not only achieve victory on the field of battle, but to see your enemies driven before you and hear the lamentations of their women...all that good primal monkey stuff. Gives the fans a reason to talk **** to each other too, and thereby a reason to discuss the sport.
Taking cute vacation pictures together in the midst of a feud does not do any of that. LeBron and Steph Curry ain't about to throw hands on the street, but they're not mugging and hugging at Peter Luger's during the Finals either.
Even in another combat sport like boxing or MMA, those folks don't dislike each other in most cases...it's mostly about competition. That said, if I just suffered a major injury in a professional fight with you, we're not going out for drinks afterward...at least until my shoulder or whatever stops hurting.
That's just me tho.

Also, Natalya is the worst diva on the entire roster. She can't connect as a face or heel. Not to mention how atrocious she is in the ring. I wish Alicia Fox was in Natalya's spot on the welcoming committee.

Nattie is probably the safest in-ring woman to work with, and was carrying the Nikki feud. Agree about her character right now though, she's similar to Dolph. Alicia probably could play that role better, but she plays the crazy role well more than anything
