The Cena train can only carry you so far. Even Hogan had hall of famers to go over. The star power just isn't there. I love Reigns, Ambrose and Rollins but they aren't there yet. Rightfully so.

I'm pretty shocked WWE didn't bite on Styles. Doesn't make sense really. He not great on the mic but pick a WWE guy who is truly legit with the mic.

Him, Low-Ki and Samoa Joe all had WWF Metal/Jakked stints 2000, and besides Low-Ki on NXT, I guess the WWE just didn't see anything in them. It took 9 years for the WWE to regain interest in Low-Ki, and you see what happened to him. They just tend to miss out on stuff and realize what they've missed right before a person is either almost out of their prime, or wait til a person has become complacent/demotivated, and then sign them. They were able to mask that way back because of the legit characters and overall interest in wrestling, but they can't hide that now with Curtis Axel's running rampart on the roster.
