Wrestling Thread April-September 2018 RIP

Sorry to hear about your little one @datsevil2 :emoji_disappointed:

All the best to you and her.

NTWT got your back.

My brethren and NTWT family . I don’t know where else to go to show my vulnerability. I know this place is a hostile place but also equally as caring. My baby girl has been diagnosed with a heart condition that can be fatal. Even though I work in the health care field, I know better that her chances are good but as a parent none of that matters. I just come here for support and prayers. Please keep her in thoughts. Thanks.

Wishing you and your family the best.

Keeping you and your fam in my thoughts brother. Stay positive! She’ll be good!

Trying to have a real convo

Who in NXT is worth wasting thid, "Rookie wins RR" storyline?

5 Stars Lars, Adam Cole Bay Bay

Lars Sullivan, I guess he has the monster appeal. I wouldn't rule it out. (Not saying it is a good idea either). But what is his can't miss skill other than being Big and Ugly?

Adam Cole, nah. Hell no. Doesn't pass the eye test. He is 5'9, 180. No. Not buying that. Maybe winning an IC Title on Day One, but a WHOLE Royal Rumble, I mean why would that be written?

I mean do you really need a "can't miss skill" to win the Rumble? Nakamura won the Rumble and he doesn't necessarily have a can't miss skill

Adam Cole: 6'0 210

Not believable of a storyline to have HIM win RR as an NXT Call Up.

Don't bring up Rey winning either because I view that as BULL too.

But we are talking about the potential of something happening for the first time ever, I wouldn't "waste" that story on Adam Cole or Lars.

Seems like the shock of someone doing it is supersedes the thought of having someone do it that makes logical sense.

He is at least established to a degree vs. Main Roster competition.

You need a can't miss skill if you are asking a ROOKIE to come in on DAY 1 to win the Royal Rumble.

dont worry homes she gonna out live us all

Thinking about RECENT NXT Call Ups that I wouldn't have minded winning the RR on Day 1

Samoa Joe

Nobody else. He is the only one that has been called up that I view as a true killer. Everybody else is too flimsy in their own little ways.

I know this is different since it doesn't matter as much, but nobody complained that a rookie Baron Corbin won the Andre Battle Royal at WM32. In fact it was one of the only good things about that Mania

Come on man.............

Like, COME ON MAN.

That Battle Royal means absolutely NOTHING

Why would you even bring that up

There was a Finn Balor v Braun Strowman match on Raw where Balor had the majority of offense. That same Finn Balor who was the first person to win their newest flagship title. Doesn't make sense if you're using traditional wrestling sense, but that's the point. Logic is nonessential in the world of WWE booking.

I can't argue vs. that.

Because you're overestimating this hierarchy in the wwe. Corbin eliminated Kane, one of the longest tenured veterans in the company.

Dog, we aren't talking about a damn Andrew Battle Royal.

Nobody has won that thing and amounted to a DAMN.

The discussion was about the ROYAL RUMBLE.

Changing it to ABR completely morphs the convo.

I have no issue with ANYONE winning that MEANINGLESS battle royal.

It means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

They should go after Gedo.

Forget about Omega or the YB.
