Suppose you buy it from Best Buy, or hell, The Apple store and itfalls and shatters into two, then what?

Now if you mean, you don't think you can trust THE SELLER (on craigslist),that's a different story.

I went out to the hood to buy some video games from some guy off craigslist a couple of weeks ago.

The gentleman i dealt with was nothing but pleasant.

I dont mean if i was to drop it or something. Im talking a hidden technical problem

I helped my ex buy a MacBook off CG last year. I don't like buying used expensive electronics, so needless to say we went for a new, sealed one that gaveher no problems; which is what I think you should hunt for.

I've bought plenty of things off of craigslist including a laptop. Of course you wanna try before you buy but havin it stop working is a risk you take. Some people gave me a little window to bring it back if it wasn't working while others didnt. I guess it boils Down if you can get a feel for the personsintentions as to wether they know of any problems with it...

I've done plenty of deals via CL, but this last one was the worst though. My wife meets up with a cat to purchase a BB Curve 8310 and gets home only findout that the vibrate function is no longer working on the Curve and the cat failed to mention this part.

1. Make sure the product is brand new.
2. Bring some friends for the meetup.
3. Test it out before paying him.

all i know is my buddy was selling his sidekick on there and he posted his phone number. now he's got this dude texting him all the time that told him"i just need a friend"

I use it. I recently sold my Xbox 360 on. Met up with dude, let him test out the system and it was all good. He gave me the cash and was out. I also left oneof my friends games in the system and texted him back and asked if he could bring it back and he did. Craigslist gets my nod of approval.

How much are you saving on the deal? If it's only a small amount then you might want to go the "safe" route and why where you know you can getany repairs if the unit breaks early on. If it's a stellar deal and you are willing to take that risk then go for it. I've only even bought/sold thingson craigslist that weren't that expensive. I personally would be weary of buying any large electronic purchase unless I got something in writing that saidif it didn't function the way it was advertised, a full refund would be issued. that is also an option. If the person is reluctant to even entertain theidea... red flag!

good advice Fan and Sauce, i might just have to stack my chips for a new one and have that piece of mind.

All my CL deals been real nice.
Bought and sold cars and plenty of other stuff.
Just do your homework about the product and always make sure it works before you buy.

It all depends on how you to about the transaction. It could be a steal or you could get got there is no in between lol.

Don't buy electronics from CL. Bought a 42' LCD on a limb from CL. Arrived to the place, tested it - worked perfect. Took home and 5 hours later itshut off and would never turn back on. Called seller and number isn't in service anymore...

TV was "brand new" and still had the plastic film on screen
