And finally, I like the idea of hunting for that hidden gem you are searching for. It makes it feel that much better when you finally get them.

actually, I just don't like fabric swatch sample collage shoes in skittles colorways, so that's why I don't buy many supreme or premium forces. and I'm not going to spend $150 on some air force ones that will be in the outlets for $50 in the next 6 months. in fact I'd rather give my money to charity than pay retail for those shoes.

some forces in the last couple years have been OK. bobbito highs, neon am95 supremes, canvas supremes (maroon, blue, black, grey), etc., but the overwhelming majority of forces has been crap. GR, premium and supreme. but hey, you're obviously buying what they're selling, chalk one up for Nike.
You're confusing me; if the retail is $150 and you know it'll hit outlets, then what's the fuss? Retail is for suckers; 90% of shoes that come out these days will end up on sale, but that doesn't make it any less of a shoe from a worth/qualityperspective.

I rarely buy any GR AF1s because of the obvious quality issues so I usually only mess with Supremes and an occasional Premium. I know that the price isusually ridiculous ($175-225) but who pays retail for any shoes these days? Seriously, if someone can't get it cheaper on the net or have a brick &mortar hookup, they need to step their game up. Now if you want to argue they're still not worth it at a discount, then even though I don't agree, Ican still see the validity in that argument. But I copped those Barkley Supremes for $135 and while I didn't want to pay the price, the quality on thatshoe is

. Perfect example - I got the white/khakiGRs from Nike for free as a gift and I flipped em to cop the 3M Supremes for $10 cause the quality is so

on the GR but so damn

on theSupremes.

It really is too bad that Nike never went through with retroing the OG Purple High's...
Blame it on that dude Kampoutkid.

There's only 2 af1s that matter to me... HK and the waterproof khaki colorway. Can care less bout AF1s. My opinion tho

it's a ralph wiggum reference. step ya simpsons game up.

the forces they use better quality leather on is still usually an ugly shoe with stupid materials/patterns, crappy colorway or rolled edges (yuck!). and eventhat newer "supreme" leather seems more prone to creasing (that doesn't uncrease when you stuff the shoe) than the leather from the olderGR's. most of the people defending the newer forces probably don't own any of the older pairs to make a realistic comparison.

^this is exactly the case with the discussion going on here. newer supremes/premium's can't compare to older gr's, but some don't have theshoes to make a proper comparison. you really that put off by the rolled edges?

before nike dropped "premiums and supremes" the GR stuff used to be superb quailty......i have AF1s from 1998 that look better than todays BS...... one shouldnt have to pay for that "premium or supreme" tag.......

thats ridiculous considering da inflation rate between da 90's and now. da dollar no longer gets you da same thing it did 10 years ago, why would people feel they're entitled to get sneakers

wit da same materials of da 90's and pay da same while manufacturing cost have gone up since?

i rather have da option to pay more for better.

and back in da 90's air forces only saw a very few releases per year and only in a few states, for years you couldn't even buy air forces in select online retailers.
i really cant stand da way you type

I don't know but what happened to Air Force HI general releases, it seems that the Hi-top release today are either for women or limited.

like i said, in NYC, da sneaker mecca..things that others city struggle to get, are in droves over here (foamposites, flightposites, supreme air forces, etc)

so spare me da rookie rhetoric

When he says G.R he means NORMAL PRICES not the crazy NYC prices, you know , reg $88 airforces use to have $175 quality

They Retro the White/White everyday.

Stick to that cause it still leads in sales.

All other AF'1s leave it to the Bootleggers lololol

Today I rocked my Lakers AF1's from '02 and while they definitely aren't the plastic pleather GRs that theyput out these days, they ain't the ultra-plush Pelle Pelle steez y'all act like the older forces are. I think it's just the same story with NTersstuck in the Delorean griping about Nike Air on Jordan Retros, the size of the Airbag on Nike Retros, mesh toeboxes on AM90s and so forth. The only legitimategripe I have is the absence of the swoosh on the toebox. But with the quality issues these days, I guess it would kinda be sacrilegious to bring thatback...

You even get tight GR drops nowadays...but no one buys because of the tissue paper type leather & the damn near $100 retail price.

all white lows with the ice bottoms (my favorite shoe of all time) got returned due to that pooh butt leather.

good thing i bought 3 pairs of the womens release in like 05/06.

Maybe because they have made so many of them they do not need to be reissued?...never a big fan of AF1's so I do not really have an answer.

For Sale: DS Retro VII Frenchies, DS Retro X Black/White, DS OG XVI Gingers, DS Melo 5.5 Black/University Blue, DS XVIII White/Royal Blue, NDS Retro XI LowWhite/University Blue, NDS Retro VI Low Black/Silver, NDS OG XVI Black/Varsity Red, NDS Air Trainer SC High White/University Blue (size 12)

I thought that retros were for shoes that were discontinued? The Air Force 1 model is still an ongoing shoe line.

Yup.

It's crazy because back in the day out here on the west coast AF1's were limited in colorways and your Blanco/Blanco were almost seasonal with certainamounts dropped at a time. Now AF1 is overkill and would need to outlet every model now and make less models before dropping retro's.

Man I haven't had a pair of white on whites since like 2002
