Every show has that period where it has lulls after a few years but I love this show so much.

it's starting to get stale but fam guy is up there....as far as more adult oriented cartoons go. That epi with Louis doing porn was lulz

I'll take South Park over Family Guy any day. But mostly because of how cute the kindergarteners in it are.

I rewatching Family Guy from the beginning right now. I'm on season 3 and that episode where Peter has a near death experience and he steals money from himself had me dying.
Family Guy is the goat!!!

Genius is a stretch.

It doesn't take a genius to have Peter get into a crazy scenario, have a call back which leads to a random gag/cutaway. I give credit where it's due, the show had it's moments, the early seasons, but now the gag is usually tired and the humor is forced.

All-time sitcom cartoons

1. The Simpsons










2. South Park
3. Family Guy
4. King of the Hill
5. Futurama
3-5 can be swapped for me, but I'm tempted to put FG there just for their popularity throughout the 2000s

Flintstones are there somewhere on the list just for their impact in the genre
I'm also basing it on primetime/network cartoon sitcoms. It's another story when you open it up to cable/Saturday morning cartoons
 
In my top 10, but not top 5. Too many from CN, Disney Channel, and Nickelodeon in my top 5 for it to be there.
