That's hard to do with Seinfeld for me because I truly believe Jerry is like Jerry Seinfeld and Julia Louis-Dreyfus is like Elaine.Originally Posted by CaponeCartels

Seinfeld.
You can relate an episode of Seinfeld to any situation in life.
Larry David truly is a comedic genius.

The Office is a comedy, but not a sit-com.
The early 2000s saw a rebirth of the single camera shooting style for half-hour sitcoms, with shows such as Malcolm in the Middle, 8 simple rules, Everybody Hates Chris, My Wife and Kids, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, Arrested Development and Scrubs. Unlike earlier single camera shows, these sitcoms do not use laugh tracks. The British sitcom Green Wing, often featured scenes that were shot using a single steadicam, which were later sped up or slowed down for comic effect. Laugh tracks are used less frequently in this decade, and live audiences disappear almost entirely from the format, with the notable exception of Lucky Louie.
wikipedia things so. but whatev. i kno its different from most sitcoms cuz it doesnt use laugh tracks, but im pretty sure its still considered a sit-com.
