i haven't been affected by an album like K.R.I.T. was here since Below the Heavens which didn't even get instant praise from me

Not classics because good hip-hop doesn't get respect anyday, but dudes who I think made albums of classic quality:

Just an amazing album production really was top notch, with some of the most introspective lyrics from an upcoming rapper I've heard in ages, combined with a smooth Cali flow.

Really, one of the first albums I've heard in ages where a dude showed my a lyrical style that was totally unique, a flow and tone that was almost unprecedented.  Mix that in with contribution from some of the games best producers, a classic imo.

A rapper who managed to bring it back to the golden days without sounding outdated

EASILY WINS IMO !!!
Whole Album was banging from Start to Finish, Beats were spectacular, Collabo's were Outstanding !!
Reminded me of the Q-Tip from the early 90's, gave you that good ol' ATCQ feeling even w/o including Phife on the Album at all

Better than a few of his previous works solo and as a member of the Tribe: Beats, Rhymes, & Life, The Love Movement, Amplified
Still jam this Album a lot, only thing that comes close is OB4CL2 & Untitled

My vote for most recent classic is How I Got Over. Distant Relatives before that.

Classic is an almost-perfect album in my eyes, btw. A masterpiece would be a perfect album.

Distant relatives is easily the only thing I will be listening to in the next 25 years. thats what a classic is, can it withstand the test of time. and yes, I think DR will be playing for a loooooooong time. Second behind it would be kid cudis album MOTM. I bump that e-ver-y day
