With intelligence in the lead, wouldn't you say that a person can learn from anyone? With intelligence, one can learn to use the tools of any master, be it male or female, correct?
Looking at the Black community for example, some of our most influential and remarkable individuals that have changed history, came from single parent households. If left to the devices of white supremacy, this was not supposed to happen. Here in NYC, a impoverished family could not receive access into public housing during the 50's and early 60's, if what they called a capable man were living at home. So in order to gain housing, many Black families had to act like they were not together, or break up all together, if they needed a place to live. One of the housing projects where this law stood is called the Gowanus Houses.
Because African Americans live in a system that is geared toward the destruction of the Black family, why should Black men emulate what is oppressing them, in order to get ahead? Black women have done a fantastic job in holding Black America together, in all aspects. That resiliency should be emulated, applauded and venerated, not shut down, correct?
I don't have all of the answers, but shutting down Black women does not seem like the right move, in order to save what is called Black masculinity.
