counter-strike is still one of the best fps's of all time, it's all skill based and the maps involve so much strategy
you could have a team that dominates just because of their strategies, don't even have to aim very well

Define best? That can be a broad definition. Do you mean as enjoyable? Balanced? Detailed? Intricate?
Overall imo I'd have to say... Gulf of Oman of Battlefield 2, Egpytian of Goldeneye, Archive of Goldeneye, Onelevel who's name I cant remember from Halo 1, Warlord of BF2: Special Forces and many others

I'm probably in the minority that enjoyed de_dust more the de_dust2. Probably because it's the map that got me my best record ever...something like75-5 I think, on de_dust 24/7 server. The most fun map I've ever experience though includes 1337_assualt, rats and star wars one

Idk about the best but I did enjoy a majority of Wolfenstein Enemy Territory maps.
