on making shoes that skate well.
There seems to be quite a few of those who have differing opinions on Nike SB and what is "old school"... did someone just call mork and mindy'sold school?
The best quality/colorway SBs are the original run series, and a lot of the silver box series, with a few pink box releases in there. What has been producedrecently, while most of it is original, feels truly uninspired or as if the SB team over there is just like... okay what's the gimmick for Spring 09 orSummer 09? What can we say that has been "inspired" and then sell it to these people?
While people are entitled to their own opinions, by no means can mork and mindy's be called old school.
The classic colorways used on the older models will never be matched again by the Nike SB team, they are attempting to "innovate" and create newercolorways, designs, and implement more materials... they are constantly evolving. Again, there are two sides to nike sb... those who skate, and those who wearthem for aesthetic reasons. In this case, it's usually the latter. As long as there are more people buying their product line for aesthetic reasons (i.e.to look "cool" or stay up with the latest trend or just because they love nike, etc)... then they will continue to keep up with what the generalpublic wants.
