WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Up Next: Brave New World 02/14/25

The whole matching up to one universe thing is getting kind of stale to me

This restricts storylines and such

Probably why they forced edgar wright out of ant man which by the way ant man looks like the worst of all marvel movies from the trailer.

Awkward and corny. Total opposite of gotg

Edgar wanted a solo Ant-man movie that didn't connect to the universe at all. He could have used any tone. Look at CA:TWS tonally that doesn't line up with any of the Marvel movies but its still in universe.

GOTG will very much have to cross over with Avengers by the time the Infinity War movies come out

And thats going to be weird as hell

And thats what i meant

I think at this point Marvel aren't going to be anal about tone matching up exactly

That's why they had GotG out to begin with

They probably want to produce different tones to their movies at this pointt to avoid audiences thinking that all the movies are the same.

They seem to be giving themselves more lee way as time goes on. Phase 1 they were learning as they go. Playing it safe in general and not taking risks. Phase 2 they seem to be getting what they can get away with. Phase 3 is letting go of the training wheels and just letting **** fly.

Then I hope the Guardians continue to just do their own thing and don't interact with the non-goofy characters :lol

A series of movies with the Guardians just getting into hijinx in deep space and just happening to touch on things that the avengers and other heroes will have to deal with sounds great. Like them talking to the collector from Thor and Thanos being a minor character in GOTG1. Let Hulk and Cap fight Thanos. All they have to do is continue the implication that the Guardians are around as well

It doesn't have to be every Guardian in the Avengers.

I agree that Rocket Raccoon and Maria Hill in the same room would look weird.

But every other Guardian can fit in well. Drax is already reportedly signed on to show up in Infinity War. Gamora also makes a lot of sense considering her ties ot Thanos.

Both teams have their lame humor with the GOTG being a little more extra. Drax asking hulk how his pants don't rip or how he'd fornicate with BW and why hawkeye is an avenger would entertain me.

GOTG was the most thanos involved film to date.. ronan was sent by thanos to retrieve the orb, which contained an infinity stone.. his two daughters were heavily involved on both sides

only avengers even comes close

Black Panther should be in the DD series after he appears in Civil War, that can hold us over til the 2018 panther film. Have Fogey give him the whole Mr. Okonkwo alias. I think Chadwick Boseman would fit in good with Charlie Cox and the rest of the cast too.

Speaking of daredevil did my dude kingpin really have to do russians head like that? :lol

Marvel has said plenty of times before that they want to make movies in different genres, not just superhero movies. I take that to mean they intentionally don't want the tones to match.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier -- Political Thriller
Guardians of the Galaxy -- Space Opera
Ant-Man -- Heist Film
Daredevil -- Gritty Crime Serial
Dr. Strange -- Horror Film
The Amazing Spider-Man -- Tweener action anti authority type film (think Hunger Games, etc.)

That way they appeal to a wide audience and not just the comic book fans. It's smart imo.

and with thor.. I agree with what was said above about going deeper into asgard and the whole mythology

I get going with loki for the first flim

but the enchantress and executioner should have been introduced during the 1st film.. then they play a bigger role in the second film.. then you bring surtur for the 3rd film

kingpin had the emotions of a beta. SMH at when he was crying about his friend.

Yea man. The more I think about it, the more I didn't like his character.

By the season finale, I think he leveled up though. Cuz at first, he wanted to 'save' Hell's Kitchen. By the finale, it sounds like he just wants to burn it to the ground lol.

That and the whole Samaritan story he told, makes me think he changed for the better.

It's going to be amazing!

Star Lord discovering he can download any song since the beginning of time >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Rocket Raccoon arguing with Tony Stark >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Tony Stark's jokes going over Drax's head >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Gamora and BW competing over who's the most bad*** >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Naah, Kingpin's performance was on point, easily one of the best we've gotten in this franchise to date. There's a reason that character is cited as one of the best part's of the show after all.

Donofrio was a fantastic actor. But I couldnt get with Marvel spending so much time on all those garbage love stories.

Fisk and Vanessa was BORING
Daredevil and Night Nurse GARBAGE
Foggy had the only decent "love stories" (if you could call them that) with Marci and Karen.

Honestly, I think romance should only be hinted at with the big team up movies to keep the ball rolling

With the smaller solo flicks, it's ok to go into the romance if need be.

I wasn't a fan of this version of the character. Reminded me of a vanilla gorilla when he got angry. Wouldn't mind if he sat out most of next season.
