Nah, they just knew they'd never get around to this story unless they did it now. Plus it's one of the better selling comic events they feel gives them an edge.

Just saw F4 today... was very meh. Started decent, when they we're kids and etc..
Barely any time fighting the villian.
When it ended, I was like ummm.. that's it? Although I did doze off around the time they we're running tests on them and that time frame
Then I sat and waited and wasn't eem an after the credit scene!!!

Question, if Shield/Hydra already had tabs on Stephen Strange in The Winter Soldier, will the Dr. Strange film take place during the events of the previous films? I'm kind of curious why they would keep tabs on Strange if he was only a surgeon?

Theres world renowned surgeons in the real world, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the path they took it, since the movie wasn't confirmed at that time and that was kind of an easter egg. (Right?)

Yeah, I know there are world-renowned surgeons in real life. But in TWS, Sitwell mentioned that Shield/Hydra were keeping tabs on people who could be possible threats to them and then proceeded to mention Banner and Strange.
Just curious what they found in Strange at that time, as a threat.

It looks weird but I think that's because it's the stunt costume. It kind of looks loose fitting on the dude
