WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

Yah the BvS trailer was suppose to release on a Monday iirc but the international version leaked on Tuesday or Wednesday a week earlier, the same week as Star Wars and had to release it in HD by Thursday or Friday.

Plus the DC movie slate announcement was ahead of the Marvels announcement by a week (or two?) and Marvel probably had theirs planned way ahead of schedule but that conference/announcement came out of nowhere.

It doesn't open in Japan until 4th of July weekend. It's not over yet. My bet is $1.5 B again. And it's currently at $1.349 B.

Maybe marvel and dc have agreements to not steal each other thunder?

Yea i know not likely but hell theres enough money out there for everyone

I happen to think it's good to pull back on the barrage that is Marvel. It's like a bathroom break during a sports event, you can't just keep coming 100% every year as it'll burn people out, especially when Civil War looks like another complete Avengers movie rather than a typical stand-alone.

AoU did very well, I think Ant-Man will do fine, but then they'll be quiet for awhile just to let the excitement build up again. Get the fiends withdrawing for a sec :lol

Chiwetel Ejiofor’s ‘Doctor Strange’ Character Revealed: He’ll Play Baron Mordo

EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has learned definitively what role Chiwetel Ejiofor will play when he suits up for Doctor Strange, the Scott Derrickson-directed Marvel Studios film that will star Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character. Ejoifor, rumored to be joining the film, will play Baron Mordo, an enemy of Doctor Strange who first appeared in the comic Strange Tales in 1963.

Although he’s an enemy in the comics, don’t look for him to be necessarily a completely villainous character. Rather, he’s an amalgamation of characters culled from Doctor Strange‘s mythology. His isn’t the first change-up in the film; Swinton’s The Ancient One character is another, as the movie has gender-swapped the Tibetan male sorcerer from the comics. Both Strange and Mordo were mentored by The Ancient One, but Mordo tried to kill his teacher. Scripted by Jon Spaihts, the film follows the story of the brilliant and arrogant neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who learns after a horrific car accident that his hands don’t hold the key to his powers. Instead, he discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions. Disney has set the film for release on November 4, 2016.

Good choice,I initially wanted to see him play T'Challa but this is still cool.

I still find it cool that Marvel is able to cast these characters with legit award-winning actors.

I really have no idea about Dr. Strange other than he knows magic. lol. Looking forward to see how that film will be.

Nice quick ninja edit with the them going with Boseman to be younger but he is actually one year older than Chiwetel.

:lol, I was shocked that he's actually younger than Boseman :eek. Still would've gone with him but it should be interesting seeing him face to face with Cumberbatch

They have one thing that a lot of the press has already turned their backs on (BvS trailer was ******* on, partly because it came out the same week as the Star Wars trailer. DC sure knows how to time stuff :lol )

The trailer was leaked early so they (WB/DC) didn't have a choice really...
Was still scheduled to be released the same week as the SW trailer even before the leak iirc

Funny watching the Grantland summer movie special.. They thought Entourage was gonna be a hit and all think Ant-Man will bomb :lol

Technically it was scheduled the week after and was suppose to compete with the F4 trailer on that same week iirc. Jurassic World trailer was the one that came out the same week as SW intentionally I believe.

By the way, I wasn't blaming WB/DC for the timing of these things. I was just noticing how they all coincidentally collide with Marvel/Disney news.

Just like I'm willing to bet Marvel will reveal the Spider-Man actor and costume the week after SDCC. Seems like they're content with DC being the "aggressor" and just counter punching all their news
