Been hearing lots of complaints from Whedon lately, seems like since he isn't returning he is pretty much disclosing most of what he wanted done and it really is looking like AoU isn't exactly the film he wanted to make? Could all these controls by Marvel be the reason he isn't returning?


In addition to the other reports, here is what he has to say about Loki being in AoU.

Dude wanted QS and SW in there. I believe he made the film he want. This is a shared universe, of course he's going to have to have some things in there that Fiege may want.

he's back at Marvel. Which begs the question how did Marvel get Namor back before the Hulk?

Whedon has already said he couldn't take the pressure and work load of doing another Avengers movie. That's what I'm taking as his reason for not returning.

All these other little complaints about cut scenes and actors you couldn't get and in the end the scenes don't make it to the final cut don't matter.

Last I remember his rights are still with Universal.

As usual the main problem yall are having is thinking the movie will be exactly like the storyline.

Not having Reed and Sue won't even matter. CW isn't gonna be some 4hr movie that'll flesh out every single story beat the comic had.

my question is more wondering how they're going to pull off the storyline with so few characters. Not really worried, more excited and anticipating how they'll interpret it and pull it off.

Im with amel. 4 on 4 is plenty. Many of the guys in the comics didnt do anything of significance but show up to the fights.

My theory on how they introduce the new Spider-Man in civil war

The movie opens with captain America running the new avengers facility and are training the new avengers. Tony stark talks to cap about some kid in NY who was bitten by a spider and has powers making his origin story real casual and just slightly mentioned.

Tony says the kid has been fighting crime but he's pretty bad and that maybe he and captain America should track him down and train him to be a proper hero.

After which the registration act split tony and captain apart and that's when spidey has to choose a side...

I think that would be a cool premise to getting Spider-Man in that action quickly without over doing his origin again.

The feminist issue was supposedly his remark about Jurassic World trailer but they felt he is a hypocrite the way he treated BW as a damsel in distress. Some feminist supposedly got mad at not letting her have a child and making her a "monster". That's what I heard from the radio this morning.

I think it's dumb and it sucks but I guess that is a battle he really can't win. It's likely a reach on the feminist blame though on why Whedon actually left, he also got death threats and telling him to commit suicide.
