WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

man what

can’t believe people are actually in support killing off the most recognizable black superhero that we waited 30 years for

we finna have 3 Spider-Men in one film and we can’t get one new T’Challa we never saw Jason Todd/**** Grayson take the mantle in Batman films lol I wonder why.

Also wonder where Bruce Wayne’s representation to this day would be if within the first 5-10 years of those 90’s Batman films he was killed off and replaced with Todd/Grayson/Damian lol

Did you just... you know what, never mind.

Please, let’s not compare what whites do with their superheroes to how Black superheroes should be handled. Just because they go through several re-cast doesn’t mean that’s how we should treat our characters or actors who represent our superheroes.

Bruh wylin if he think they should just recast BP after the man died . Like damn
It’s not BP they’re not recasting, it’s T’Challa and the semantics there are actually pretty important to remember and give Marvel/Coogler the flexibility needed to continue with BP2.

There will be a Black Panther, it just won’t be T’Challa.

how whites handled their heroes is why we’ve had dozens of Spiderman/X Men/Batman/superman films and how this is being handled is why we always get token characters and/or one black headlining film a decade lol.

Ready for Wakanda Wars: A New Hope though

It will have been two years since it happened when BP2 drops and Id assume bruh would want the character to go on himself. Given how broken up he was about what it represented to black kids. On top of him being a real actual person outside of this film :lol

I know they said Shuri was snapped but wasn’t it completely offscreen? They could retcon that and BP2 could take place between IW and EG and deal with what happens with Wakanda directly after the snap. Could be our only chance to really explore that five-year timeframe. That would easily explain T’Challa’s absence and they wouldn’t have to kill him offscreen.

Either way, Okoye held it down for five years without T’Challa already and was basically an Avenger so she should be the main focus of the film.

black panther 2 is a movie exploring wakanda? not feeling it. if thats the route they go make it a disney plus show. save black panther 2 for the actual continuation of the character.

That sounds like some Marvel misdirection to me. Kind of similar to how they marketed Spider-Man FFH, and what the plot tuned out to be.

Doctor Strange 2 will include either Ghost Rider or Blade. Remember they didn’t announce a Blade film; they announced Blade’s casting.

lol so you’re going to leave off the over saturation and quality of films? You’re legit saying that we need to follow their way to be successful. That’s how our country got to where we are now: European idealism. The process of thinking their way is the only way. BTW, no that’s IS NOT why we have so few main characters. Clearly that’s on the writers and developers - For every 1 black superhero there’s 50 white characters. Same for movies - for every 1 black film, there’s 50 white films. Your logic is not sound. Actually, it is. It’s just the mindset of bigots.

if anything I’d argue shuri being snapped and the huge role okoye would have played would pave the way for her being the new BP

clearly she had a leadership role back at home and was the only one communicating with the avengers team

and also shuri being snapped means others should have/would have stepped up with the king and princess both gone

This is more made up bull ****.

Getting token black characters or one black headlining a decade HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS.

This is an unprecedented situation.

When had this EVER happened before let alone with with a black person portraying someone? :nerd: WHEN?!

So I don't even know how you can say how this is being handled is why we end up with that. They have no correlation or connection AT ALL.

Stop making **** up man.

Also if we're strictly talking black superheroes, and other media starring them Marvel had like 5 and DC had next to none. The other comic publishers aint matter. DC was involved with Milestone and that fell a part by the 2000s. The industry is filled with white creators who more times than not create white characters. So I'm not sure what you're talking about.

We can take it further to movies if you want. Black representation only had a niche during blaxploitation. Before that there were a handful of stars you could name and movies that didn't get promotion for crossover appeal. We can go on and on. You're wrong.

I'm also not understanding where this made up Wakanda is Star Wars nonsense is coming from or how you could joke about it as a negative. The two have nothing in common and Marvel has said nothing to indicate the Black Panther franchise will be handled the way Lucasfilm deals with Star Wars.

Dudes are posting brainlessly at this point.
When Daredevil appears in the MCU, is he already Daredevil with the red suit or still becoming him with the black outfit?
If we go off where he left on the show, it'll probably be the black outfit. Bullseye tainted the red costume by killing all of those ppl posing as him.

If they try to semi reboot him they might trot out that ugly red and yellow costume

We could go in circles for days. Obviously y’all think Boseman was ACTUALLY T’Challa or something  I brought up the white superheroes to say that they get recasted all the time, Spider Man had 3 actors from 2006 - 2016, Batman will have had 3 since 2012 when Pattinson’s movie drops.

And yes while no one died, y’all being so eager to let them kill off the character for the next 10-15 years (or until MCU restarts) just because they can replace him with another token black character [meanwhile they’d never kill off Peter Parker or Bruce Wayne regardless of circumstance] speaks to the logic of how loosely valued our characters are versus “theirs”. Little black boys dont “need” T’Challa when there’s *other black character who was a side character or afterthought until Bro died*...Superman or Batman would never get that treatment lol you’d never say make a movie about Gotham/Metropolis and Batgirl or Supergirl because the actor who played Bruce Wayne etc dies, “kids can look up to them just the same”

Also there is arguably precedent with this with Christopher Reeves accident and the late 90’s Nic Cage Kevin Smith Superman movie they almost did. They were planning a Superman V and he got paralyzed and while of course it was ****** up Clark Kent wasn’t gonna stop being portrayed with Reeves.

But it’s cool let the casual audience/Umar Johnson hotep crowd find out bout this as they actually start dropping plot details  Fiege and his white nerves may cancel And reboot the whole damn thing

as far as the Star Wars thing, it absolutely sounds like they’re turning it into a thing where it focuses more on the narrative of a region/environment/type of technology than any sole character.

a movie focusing on Okoye, Lupita and Shuri meddling around the forest and they play hot potato with the suit/Wakanda weaponry for the next couple movies bc they don’t think Letitia can be the face of a franchise is black Star Wars  with extra points for Disney and Fiege that it will be led by “strong black women”

I'm so confused by what the problem is. Obviously someone else will put on the mask of the black panther, so the hero continues just not T'Challa in the current iteration, and the cries i'm seeing are "recast Black Panther" not "recast T'Challa" so everyone actually agrees?

Thats the thing. It’s gon be a cluster ****.

People consider T’Challa black Panther as much as they consider Bruce Batman regardless of whoever else gets the mantle. Even moreso probably for casual fans who never read the comics.

people who pull the “Shuri was BP in comics card” neglect to mention it was temporary and she felt better serving Wakanda thru tech. Which may be what happens here and that’s when it becomes some lame **** of finding a new person to take the mantle each movie until you ruin the franchise and it has to be rebooted.

instead of recasting, paying respect with a message before the movie starts, and giving T’Challa his full arc irreverant of real life events. Both as BP and the top ranking Avenger in the wake of Tony and Cap
