Marvel Studios' 2020 Slate Reportedly Revealed; New Details On THE ETERNALS Surface

According to That Hashtag Show, Black Widow is set to hit theaters on May 1st, 2020, and The Eternals will follow on November 6th, 2020.

It's a bold move by Marvel Studios, especially as Black Widow is arguably a second-tier character who may or may not be able to hold her own movie, while The Eternals are something totally new to both moviegoers and even some seasoned comic book readers. Still, at least we now know where things are potentially going!

The site also reveals that while there are two definitive takes on The Eternals - the Jack Kirby iteration and then the one from Neil Gaiman - the script by Matthew and Ryan Firpo is more heavily influenced by Kirby's work. As a result, it's said that it will introduce the worlds of both the Eternals and Deviants, with connections to several existing characters planned.

It's said that the movie will delve deep into the history of the MCU, so this is clearly going to be a big deal.

Fleshing out the MCU with backstory to incorporate the expanding characters into the MCU? Nice.

And Namor possibly may be used?! Nice. (Sounds like a reactionary move due to Aquaman, but I could be wrong)

that drunken master that should have been iron fist aka shatterstar works

or those dudes in power rangers

That Hashtag Show has released a possible first synopsis for the film, which they report is currently set to release on November 6, 2020. Their synopsis is certainly a surprising one:

"The story of 'THE ETERNALS' is set millions of years ago when the cosmic beings known as the Celestials genetically experimented on humans, creating the super-powered individuals as well as more villainous off-shoots known as Deviants. The two groups went on to battle each other throughout history to see which would eventually become the ultimate race. The story involves the love story between Ikaris, a man fueled by cosmic energy, and Sersi, who relishes moving amongst humans."

Millions of years ago............humans.

Also The Rock or DDL as Namor.

Would be intresting to see how Ddl would conquer undersea life in the real world to prepare for the role.

Weird question but someone was telling me Namor smashed a bunch of marvel heroines. This true? :nerd:

Not necessarily smashed them all, but he’s tried to seduce a few like Emma Frost. His most noticeable target however is 1/4 of the first family...

Namor is the greatest scum bag in all of Marvel comics. Between him trying to steal Sue from Reed and his beef with T’challa Marvel can legit make a soap opera off this **** but it would venture in risqué territory that I doubt Marvel would want to sully the family nature of the films. We avoided Hank Pyk and Janet Van Dyne as the active Antman and Wasp because of domestic abuse. I often wonder how much more amazing A1 would have been had Hawkeye and Black Widow been replaced with Antman and Wasp...

Yeah if i remember namor has put down like 7 dif marvel women and didnt aunt may want it as well?
