New ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Logo Is the Cure for Not Feeling So Good

Despite the fact that Thanos the Mad Titan sass-snapped Peter Park from existence at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Spider-Man does still have a stand-alone film on the docket. Today, Marvel and Sony released the logo for Spider-Man: Far From Home, which means Spidey is officially on his way back to the land of the living.

The logo isn’t much to write home about—Hey, it’s the title! A stellar font choice!—but this does mean that the long lead-up to Far From Home‘s July 5, 2019 premiere date has formally kicked off. The film is currently filming in Europe—which, you see, is geographically unclose to Queens, New York—but small tidbits and teases are making their way into the public. We already learned that Samuel L. Jackson andCobie Smulders are set to appear as Nick Fury and Maria Hill, and Jake Gyllenhaal is all but confirmed to play Mysterio. If the image of Oscar-nominated actor Jake Gyllenhaal wearing a cape with fish-bowl on his head alone does not sustain you until July 2019, my goodness where is your soul?

Of course, before Tom Holland can don the blue-and-reds for his own film again, Marvel is flying back to the 1990’s for Captain Marvel, Brie Larson‘s stand-alone introduction into the MCU. Then, in April 2019, the Russo Brothers have to finish what they started in Infinity War with the untitled Avengers 4. And then, then, we get Spider-Man: Far From Home, which, fingers crossed, will not be two straight hours of a bunch of ash blowing its way around Piccadilly Circus.

Check out the Spider-Man: Far From Home logo below. The film also stars Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, and Tony Revolori. Jon Watts is back on board to direct a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Casual fan of the movies here....How did the Black Order know where to find Doctor Strange and Vision?

In Avengers 1, when Nick Fury was asked why they started making weapons of mass destruction, Nick explained 'because of him' (because of Thor)

Nick said 'last year an alien had a grudge match that leveled a small town' and that was when they realized they needed to be ready for a 'higher form of war'

The whole convo makes you think Nick was unaware of higher powered beings prior to Thor. Which is weird because now it's going to become canon that Nick was aware of Captain Marvel (and potentially other aliens) since '92

I’m curious as to how Far From Home will progress Peter’s character in terms of becoming the Spider-Man we’re all familiar with. Wouldn’t be surprised if he has a camera with him the whole film taking pictures of sites. Daily Bugle should get at least name dropped this go round.

Keep in mind he's a liar.

So Thor was his convienent excuse.

Quite frankly Thor the movie did not let on that Thor or Loki was a part of some super powered alien race. Not on the scale that SHIELD would have to start making weapons for an army with the tesseract.

It just really depends how much of the Kree×Skrull war occurred on earth.

yea.. we have to wait til captain marvel to see how much fury/shield knew and how much got out into the public and needed to be covered up.. cause with thor, there was obviously everyone in the small town that saw what went down with the destroyer

I get that this character has been around since the '60s but why introduce her so late in this movie arc when they could've just as easily given even some of the established characters an enhanced role? Haven't read any of the comics but I'm sure that some of the knowledgeable 'heads can co-sign that movies aren't exactly faithful to them.

In Infinity War, when Thor first meets the GOTG, he describes Hela as is HALF-SISTER.

Did anyone else catch that?

Yeah, but what’s the matter? She really is his half sister. They don’t have the same mother...

Frigga isn’t Thor’s biological mother either. Y’all gonna stop trying Odin like he ain’t out here with the biddies...

In the MCU, they make it look like Frigga is his bio-mom.

Either Frigga is Thors step mom or Helas. And if Frigga isnt Helas mom, then who is ?

In the MCU Frigga is/was Odin’s most current wife and Thor’s biological mother as well as the only mother Loki has known but that’s a liberty they took.
