"They’re a money machine, they’re amazing. Whatever they do is gonna be a billion dollar movie and it’ll be great. You know as a fanboy I grew up, since I was 4 or 5 I planned to be Spider-Man. Even now I still think it’s possible! I couldn’t be more relaxed about it. Almost any other studio could screw it up. I’ll just show up on the night and enjoy the film."

Shots at Fox?

Millar was hired by whoever is in charge of the Marvel properties at Fox studios as a comic/movie consultant (I forget the exact title) to sort of give advice and guidance on how to do the movies and any input if the producers/directors had questions. Apparently it seems that it has been a job in name only and he hasn't been informed or asked for any help at all since. So he might be salty about that and rightfully so given how the F4 and X-Men movies turned out. I do think he actually gave some praise to the Trank F4 reboot though but he might've just been paid to say that too.

Although his relationship with Fox studios has been fine and remained strong for all of his movies that they've adapted from his comics (see Kingsman: Secret Service coming out soon and all of his past movies with FOX)

I watched Winter Soldier again the other day, and I just can't get over the fact that Marvel has made Captain America my favorite Avenger. I honestly had zero interest in a roided out soldier draped in an American flag, but credit to Evans, the directors who have helmed the franchise and the writing/storytelling.

And another thing, Marvel really has their talent locked down. As excited as I'd like to be for the future DC projects, it seems like they're just scrambling for leftovers (minus Jared Leto).

Talking in the latest issue of Empire Magazine, it appears as if Joss Whedon definitely won't be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a little while following Avengers: Age of Ultron. "I couldn't imagine doing this again," he reveals, referring to the time and effort which has gone into the sequel. "It's enormously hard, and it be, by then, a good five years since I created anything that was completely my own. So it's very doubtful that I would take on the two-part Infinity War movie that would eat up the next four years of my life. I obviously still want to be a part of the Marvel Universe - I love these guys - but it ain't easy. This year has been more like running three shows than any year of my life. It is bonkers."

I don't think anyone thought Whedon owed anybody anything.

Personally, I'm just a big fan and saddened that he's not going to continue making Avengers movies.

If I could choose, I'd rather the brothers make AoU and Whedon does the Thanos movies. Obviously, we're past that now..

I'm sure that Whedon will have input in the Infiinty War films. But it is a bummer that this could be his last Marvel film he's in control of.
