WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

Yeah for me Killmonger was far more relatable than T’challa, same as was their fathers before them, the whole movie while the Wakandans were good, i view them as selfish and in a way cowards...which I think was the point they were driving home with how the movie ended and T’challas Progression as the new leader, I don’t think we were made to believe that Erick was bad and hence it felt sooooo forced when they tried to turn him into your generic “I wanna burn it all” type of lunatic.

Would have LOVED to keep him around....I rather him than Loki and I love Loki, but we’ve had enough of his anti-heroism crap

I wouldn’t go as far as calling it a whack movie...lol I think it falls somewhere in the middle...there is DEFINITELY a handful of movies that are far below it.

The conditioning is there , some folks just don't see it.

And no I don't have an issue with people not liking the film.
Agreed. I have no problem with people who legitimately don't like the movie. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. What I do take issue with is all the fake woke think pieces from black people everytime there's something that the majority of black people are applauding. We get nowhere by playing devils advocate in these instances.

If you don't like the movie because of the story or the visuals or the acting (I think most people agree that all three were stellar) and you're focused on people being more excited than they 'should' be about it, I'm not even sure if you can give yourself the opportunity to like it. A lot of people went into it defensively.

Well Ross was connected with the avengers so I didn't feel anyway about him and his role. Plus he selflessly saved lupita without knowing that he could be healed.

Lol who said it was just to protect white people though

You know the world outside of Wakanda is more than white people right lmao

To the average fan, who doesn’t go out & see Marvel films on the regular this is going to be a very dope movie & it is.

But, to our standards, those who see every Marvel movie there’s a couple ahead of Black Panther. The movie is still great, but not #1.

Not everyone has to agree fam, we all have our own personalities, our own opinions, our own beliefs. Let everyone think what they want, if you enjoyed the film cool, if you didn’t cool. It’s all love!

Lol werd.

As a film alone, yes it has been blown a bit out of proportion, calling it the GOAT of All CBMs and some even saying the best film of all time period...like I said, as a film within this genre it makes top 5 as I can name least 4 marvel films that are better.

Now if you step back and look at it as more than just a film, I can totally understand why it’s gotten the praise it has, aside from being a good film, it’s more than a movie, it’s a cultural milestone and no one can take it away, The movie portrayed African culture in a stunning way, it displayed its African American actors in positions of power and grace, SPECIALLY the women which was beautiful, it pretty much gave white Hollywood the middle finger, for that alone it makes it one of the most important films of all time.

Which four movies would you say are better? And why?

This movie means a lot of things to a lot of people. Just watch the various cast and director interviews and you can see that. Is it The Godfather? No. End of the day it's a fantasy/science fiction/comic movie. But for people who live in a sheithole country, with a shiethole president, surrounded by his army of white supremacist uruk hai...a little escapism for 2 hrs where black people are winning and not having to put up with all this real life nonsense means a little bit of something

Godfather HELLA overrated. Goodfellas and Casino were better.

Anyone who thinks the Wakandian weapons would stay in only black hands once they hit the streets world wide is a fool. We all know one guy who would sell them to the highest bidder once they hit his hands, Turk Barrett.

Those kids in the end straight up said "how much can we sell this on ebay" lol weapons, ships whatever lol

I wouldn't say overrated, but I personally like Goodfellas and Casino over it. Especially Goodfellas.

You have to sympathize with KMs background and origins. The suffering and oppression of people outside Wakanda was central to the story. KM had similar motivation as King Arthur but turned out way different...

those are my favorite villains (or anti hero), hence my avy.

If I wasn't black then this movie would have easily been top 3 in the MCU. Up there with Winter Soldier and Avengers 1, but because of its impact on me as a black man its definitely the best movie in the MCU for me.

What I dont like when I come in here is someone saying this is an average or decent movie at best, its like they are trying to downplay the momentum and the importance of this movie. It also reeks of racism in my mind and chances are 95% of the people who dont like the movie are not black.

Iron Man 1, Guardians 1, and Avenger: Age of Ultron, Spider-man Homecoming all are great films, none of them are in my top 5 in the MCU but I will never come in here and say they are average at best.

I see some of yall comments in here and its starting to upset me
