WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

Im confused as to what petitions are are supposed to accomplish. People should bend over backwards because a few thousand people signed a piece of paper?

I remember the NT petition to bring back the DMP :rollin

I wasn't an active member, but I remember that I guess it didn't work

And Fox did an terrible job with how X-Men played out. Last stand shouldn't of even happened. They should've done the Phoenix Saga, I feel after the apocalypse movie(s) there will be a reboot

The last stand WAS the phoenix saga. Fox ****** version of the phoenix saga.

Garfield is Sony's Spidey. It's not rocket science here.

We're actually on the same side. I misunderstood the meaning of recast. I was thinking the article was saying that Marvel would hire Garfield again. I was thinking re-cast as in re-hire, not as in casting someone else for the role. So I was just confused :lol

Someone deserves to be slapped senseless for that bull.
When I 1st learned about the Phoenix Saga I said this could be one of the best comic book movies ever then they go....ya know.....

Now if they mess up Apocalypse movie Smh...

i say Marvel goes with Jake Gylenhall or however you spell his damn name.
Almost had it right. Just add another "a" and put that "l" at the end next to the first one.

Yeah I had already posted when I saw you clear that up.

jesus, Gylenhaal as 'college peter parker' in Civil War

Some of tall crazy saying Spidey wouldn't increase sales. Obviously not by a ton. But his action scenes alone would cause viewed to watch the movies more then once.

hear people suggesting Efron for Parker like that would quiet the "Garfield's too cool for Peter" dudes.

Honestly don't know who Marvel would have in mind but I'll go out on a limb and assume they want to bypass all that teenage stuff

Lames gon' be cool with Andrew being gone as long as he is replaced by Depp or DDL!

:lol

I could imaging Jake Gylebnhajdsjidfirgh as an older Peter. They'd have to ugly him down a lil bit though.

Now that I think about it, I can see Gylenhaal as Spidey, kinda..

It would take some getting used to.

Superhero Feed is saying Garfield is probably out as Spider-Man no matter what happens

Well that is just sad, meaning even if it stays with Sony there will be another reboot? Ugh
I remember when the sinister six rumors were running around it seemed like Sony was going to use that film as a "soft reboot"..

After finding out how Sony really runs their business I wouldn't be surprised if it's a complete scrap though.

Can anybody pull up what those "critical remarks" were? I don't remember them.

I would die if Sony reboots again with a different Spiderman.

I would just die.

At this point: Sony should either, just stop making Spiderman for a long, long time

or

Give Spiderman back to Marvel

he said the film was better before the producers started tinkering with the script

It’s interesting. I read a lot of the reactions from people and I had to stop because I could feel I was getting away from how I actually felt about it. For me, I read the script that Alex [Kurtzman] and Bob [Orci] wrote, and I genuinely loved it. There was this thread running through it. I think what happened was, through the pre-production, production, and post-production, when you have something that works as a whole, and then you start removing portions of it—because there was even more of it than was in the final cut, and everything was related. Once you start removing things and saying, “No, that doesn’t work,” then the thread is broken, and it’s hard to go with the flow of the story. Certain people at the studio had problems with certain parts of it, and ultimately the studio is the final say in those movies because they’re the tentpoles, so you have to answer to those people.

He went on to say

“But I’ll tell you this: Talking about the experience as opposed to how it was perceived, I got to work in deep scenes that you don’t usually see in comic book movies, and I got to explore this orphan boy—a lot of which was taken out, and which we’d explored more. It’s interesting to do a postmortem. I’m proud of a lot of it and had a good time, and was a bit taken aback by the response.

“It’s a discernment thing. What are the people actually saying? What’s underneath the complaint, and how can we learn from that? We can’t go, “Oh God, we ****** up because all these people are saying all these things. It’s ****.” We have to ask ourselves, “What do we believe to be true?” Is it that this is the fifth Spider-Man movie in however many years, and there’s a bit of fatigue? Is it that there was too much in there? Is it that it didn’t link? If it linked seamlessly, would that be too much? Were there tonal issues? What is it? I think all that is valuable. Constructive criticism is different from people just being *****, and I love constructive criticism. Hopefully, we can get underneath what the criticism was about, and if we missed anything.”

If they recast my boy, **** Sony. The passion dude had for the character and that's how they do him?

His contractual agreement was always unclear. I remember the rumor he wasn't returning for ASM3 but then it got changed to unsure on ASM4 and that it was all the way in 2018 anyway but then Sony came with that expansion talk pushing ASM3 further back anyway.

I can see Andrew being like since you killed my girl I'm out too.

It'd work. I always thought it was a good fit back when Tobey was Spidey but back then I wanted him to be Venom/Eddie Brock for w/e reason and it was basically confirmed for me when Tobey and Jake played brothers in the movie Brothers.

DDL as Peter in a Spider-Man: Reign movie would be dope :eek :hat

Could just mean they're gonna James Bond Spidey. I'd hope SONY has learned their lesson by now. If they announce another reboot I hope they go bankrupt.
lamekilla out here shedding a river of tears :rollin

It's all good though. Maybe Feige can offer Garfield a role.
