WELCOME TO THE MARVEL MULTIVERSE -*RIP STAN LEE & Boseman* - Agatha All Along new ep every Wednesday

So I'm not really feelin Ant Man & Wasp at the moment. Seems like it will be supremely underwhelming compared to BP and IW.

I think it’s brilliant. Audiences will need a cool down after IW especially if it leaves audiences a little uneasy as I’m expecting it will. Movie will still do 700+ mil

Half? Marvel would be lucky if 5% of the new fans stick around for a movie like IW. BP is a totally different movie attracting a totally different audience.

I’m curious as to if BP will carry over new viewers to IW as well. I know a lot of people who’ve watched this film and hardly ever watch comic films in theaters except a big event film like Avengers or Batman vs Superman. I think Marvel’s marketing with the film will really push the whole 10 year celebration and encouraging fans to see IW for that. It’s essentially a sequel for every character in the MCU (except Antman lol) so with that approach I think they can bring the new BP audience in. Expect Jimmy Kimmel episodes with Chadwick Boseman, Tom Holland, Chris Evans, RDJ and Chris Hemsworth or something like that.

I vividly remember coming home after seeing the first Toby McGuire Spider-Man and being so amped. I got in mad trouble the next couple of days for trying to climb walls in my crib

Can’t eem imagine what it would’ve felt like seeing people that look like me on the big screen in the same capacity. Thankfully there’s little kids that have that opportunity now :pimp:

Saw BP yesterday. Really can't say much more than has already been said. The movie was a masterpiece IMO. It was near flawless to me save for a couple of weak cgi scenes. I can't rate this movie like another comic book movie. It was an experience. I literally had a smile on my face the whole entire movie. Just watching all the costumes and majesty on screen was one of those moments I will never forget. And seeing the pride in other black people's faces as they wore their African attire. Solid 7.9/8 for me. Gotta take my moms and pops to see this joint next weekend.

I don't think it was anywhere near flawless by any means, but the importance of this film can't be underestimated.

I think whoever designed the costumes is going to clean up awards at the Oscars.

The scences when everyone was going to the battleground dancing and directly after BP beat M’baku and the camera panned up to the different tribes in the mountain chanting Tchalla were utterly beautiful.

Even the few scenes when he’s in regular clothes I caught my self going “damn that’s a good *** fit”

Someone had ask, why did Killmonger kill Klaue? So he could
Bring him to Wakada?

Yea no way he gets past the Border tribe or time with the king and his counsel without bringing the head of the international criminal that has alluded them for 30 years.

I've been to so many movies by myself I don't even care about how it looks. My lady is not a big science fiction/comic book movie fan so it's either see it alone or not at all.

It’s great that two prospectives that can be taken to mental task are, the shock that the suits let the movie happen as is & accepting and not needing to be surprised, and it should have been expected. There is so much to unpack and the very inference that there is says so much about the movie.

This look >>>> on a 100
Too clean. Movie gave us a ton of options. Could have 5 different people all going to Halloween parties as T’Challa and all have different fits. Black panther suit or Any of these with a Kimoyo braclet and black panther necklace >>>>>>>

Few flaws, so spoilers if you haven’t seen it. Ignore this post.

- BP suit magically absorbs Klaue’s arm rifle kinect energy nd uses it catch up and capture Klaue. But he gets a rocket launch blast to his chest and it knocks him back and he loses to MJB in their first encounter? Suit didn’t absorb that Kinect energy? Dude literally jumped on a gernade and absorbed the blast a few seconds earlier.
- Shuri, all knowing mechanical engineer / scientist, makes black panther suit, but doesn’t know how to deactivate it or find a counter to Killmonger suit. The entire story progression whenever killmonger gaining the throne to him meeting BP again was so lack luster and no story growth. How does Killmonger even obtain the suit if the chief engineer isn’t even there? Is it one of those “oh that suit was fly, it’s mine now”. Hell, how he even know how to activate it? Shuri is made to be one if not smartest person on earth but fails to recognize weakness or counters to her designs. (Stark found counters to even the avengers, Batman counters to the justice league).
- last fight scene, like some have said in this thread, they should have just deactivated the suits entirely and had them duke it out hand to hand, so that way the king can get redemption in hand to hand combat from his miserable lost earlier in the movie.
- also, why does the flower serum give less of an impact on MJB strengths compared to chads. MJB was Brolic fighting without the serum and obviously a skillful fighter, with the flower should have made him one punch man status.

Just a few stuff I pointed out. Still a great movie. Flawless? Far from it, every movie has it flaws. 7.5/8. Top 5 marvel movie of all time. It helps that this movie is the first marvel movie to have Oscar nominated and world renowned actors. Every other movie basically has c-list celebrities rise and shine into the b-list (outside rdj and more recently cumberbatch)

-random fact, I just realized agent Ross is Bilbo baggins

IW is going to do ENORMOUS numbers, I mean, it already was, but with the success of BP leading up to it as well, it's going to bump up even more now. I fully believe 750 domestic, and 2 Bil WW is doable.

Sam L, Portman, Paltrow, Hopkins, Tommy Lee Jones, Scarlett, Douglas, Norton, Bridges, Cheadle, Rockwell, Rourke, are Oscar noms, on top of RDJ and Cumberbatch, so not sure where you're goin here. Cap and Thor certainly came up, but Marvel has been using pretty decent actors from jump. C'mon now.
